According to Paul, the next two maps involve an island city and a moon base (AtD 44).

My recommendation:

Map: Quentin Independence Weaponry Factory
Mode: Raid
Objective Alpha: Destroy X amount of mechs in production
Objective Bravo: Defeat all raiders

Balancing might take some work...

I would like to see is more enviroments that can damage or destroy a mech. Hazards you have to avoid and random ones.

Out of pure selfish, self interest the vast majority of players will pick anything that sounds cold in order to have more chances to cram every hot weapon in the game onto their mechs.

That's just how this will always play out statistically.

Great topic, was fun. So many great choices is tough to choose. Went for the sci-fi maps mostly and the giant forest and deserts.

Already posted this, but the space platform idea, except with two opposing capital ships passing each other in a broadside like fashion. And then the mechs are trying to board each others ships using jump jets. Since low gravity, they could make the jump and it would be a good idea to bring jump jets, unless for defense.

Mech factory map, an indoors map with blind turns and dead ends, powered areas(light area) and black out areas. This map would be ideal for some lost tech loot also. Could feature a half working machine of some sort, or old mech on a lift and so on.

My old suggestion from the first page. Inspired by the Thorin University ruins described in Measure of a Hero with a dash of the ruins of Bealton on Odessa from Call of Duty. (No relation to the video game franchise)

I have to say my three least favorite ones are:
Event Horizon: If you are close enough to observe it with the naked eye you are already dead.
Space Platform: Space stations are rarer than jumpships and both are too valuable and too delicate for the kind collateral damage 'Mechs throw around.
Underwater Ruins: Hull breaches, no balistics, shortened energy ranges, reduced movement speeds, and torpedoes. 'Mechs die really fast underwater.

I am ambiguous on Cloud City. I know there are floating cities in the BT universe, I am just not sure if any of them are airborne.

You still always come up with the most interesting map concepts Maverick. I did have to change my Marshes vote to Deep Cavern, there is just too much potential for all kinds of combat mayhem and terrain shenanigans.

[Map Idea] Mid-City Tank Depot (Assymetrical Warfare)
[Map Idea] Camouflaged Airbase (Among trees and what not). (Assymetrical Warfare)
[Map Idea] Anti-Capital Ship Artillery Battery. You know the Giant Cannons that fire on Jump ships. (Assymetrical Warfare)
[Map Idea] Metropolis (Water) Reservoire (Capture the Flag +Assault)

Adding this idea from another topic.

Treasure Hunt


A ship that had been carrying valuable cargo has crash landed. 2 or 3 teams show up to acquire the prize.

First team to get the cargo and then return to their drop ship evac point wins.

Agree. Best topic i have seen ever, i think, seriously. Alot of fun and saved alot of the pics and am using one for desktop now.
Was in on the largest topic on this forum i think, nearly 250 pages long and this one deserves more attention really. I dont need to say it, but well done OP.
