Personally, I'm glad Clan tech is being suppressed for a while. I'm one of those guys who, when I think of Mech combat, and especially chassis and weapons, immediately dive towards a Summoner/Cougar/Blood Asp/Timber Wolf, and as much clan-spec weapons as I can afford. That would ruin the game - I'm in my final year of high school, and as such probably won't earn enough C-bills or get my hands on enough salvage in order to acquire Clan tech. As it is, considering my penchant to wish for an Atlas with a Hatchet or such, I'm probably going to resort to Medium-mechs, something with speed and a bit of firepower, enough to go toe-to-toe with a Heavy and survive.
After seeing the laser-boat that was my cousin's MW3 Annihalator 'SD' program, of which five would self-destruct after firing ONCE, and the sixth would shut-down and require half of it's coolent to be dumped, I'm kinda glad it won't appear. Seeing an Annihalator blow the head off an Atlas in a single shot, only to self-destruct, was kinda cool, but not practical.
Just saying, but Stone Rhino, even when Clan tech appers, are very unlikly to appear. Those damn things could take a beating, and STILL kill you without much hassle. They would only die to a concentrated barrage from a large group of mechs - ring of death style, maybe?
Shame about the Bushwacker and the Clan stuff, but yeah, it's in the Dev's hands.
