Not nearly every chassis, tbh.
For starters, it doesn't have the Gladiator (55t Age of War design).
I don't see the Sling and Duan Gung either (both 25t 'Mechs).
It doesn't even have the Mackie.

Not really...
The Shadow Cat is from 3003.

SLDF Royal Division special.
And its a Rifleman II.
The Royal Divisions got the best of the best back in those days (better even than the rest of the SLDF).
Gray Noton's 'Mech "Legend-Killer" is rumoured to be a Rifleman II. Later used by Justin Xiang Allard.

Where can I find specification for that? Its not in any of my TROs or other books. I don't even see it in heavy metal pro.

Lot of the mechs are on the banned list because of the issues with Robotech.
I know, for a while they were out again (Project Phoenix), but the issue reared its ugly head and now they're banned.

Likely you wont see some of our fav's, unless the dev's get clearence for them.

It would be a shame indeed to have the game shutdown becasue of a law suite before its even begun.

Project Pheonix units are not banned, They changed the look enough not to infringe on copyright.

As a MW4 fan myself, yes, I would rather do without my fav Battlemech and still be able to play the game (hopefully in 2012, if the game timeline holds true)

They might be if the release date has been delayed. As you know hardly anything is released on time in the game industry.

Possibly, but there has been no indication that players will be allowed to join the Clans.

Damn Harmony Gold! I hope those mother fuzz-nuckers realize the amount of grief they cause us fans of BattleTech and Robotech. I mean there has got to be something us little people could do? I really don"t understand their reasoning. Money is truly the root of all evil.

Q. Will the unseen Mechs make it into the game after all?

A. Look forward to a future announcement.

I don't think they would of put this in the F&Q unless they have something positive to announce in the future. That, or they just really bad trolls.

Those mechs were extinct till they got built again in the Jihad.
I didn't include them for the IS for the same reason I didn't include SL era designs.

Weelllllll, after looking at the Dev posts in that "Playtesting NAO!" thread... :)

But I'm optimistic they'll wrangle something that 'the Monster Cable of the giant robot niche market' can't legitimately claim is infringing (after all M$ Studios managed it with their redesigned Longbow; even if I'm still convinced the size of their legal dep't was a factor, too)

Tehy don't have to be extinct just exceedingly rare, thats what makes it fun! Not to mention the Hammerhands managed to make it to the cover of the Catalyst Anniverary set http://www.catalystg...com/battletech/

Personally, I'm glad Clan tech is being suppressed for a while. I'm one of those guys who, when I think of Mech combat, and especially chassis and weapons, immediately dive towards a Summoner/Cougar/Blood Asp/Timber Wolf, and as much clan-spec weapons as I can afford. That would ruin the game - I'm in my final year of high school, and as such probably won't earn enough C-bills or get my hands on enough salvage in order to acquire Clan tech. As it is, considering my penchant to wish for an Atlas with a Hatchet or such, I'm probably going to resort to Medium-mechs, something with speed and a bit of firepower, enough to go toe-to-toe with a Heavy and survive.

After seeing the laser-boat that was my cousin's MW3 Annihalator 'SD' program, of which five would self-destruct after firing ONCE, and the sixth would shut-down and require half of it's coolent to be dumped, I'm kinda glad it won't appear. Seeing an Annihalator blow the head off an Atlas in a single shot, only to self-destruct, was kinda cool, but not practical.

Just saying, but Stone Rhino, even when Clan tech appers, are very unlikly to appear. Those damn things could take a beating, and STILL kill you without much hassle. They would only die to a concentrated barrage from a large group of mechs - ring of death style, maybe?

Shame about the Bushwacker and the Clan stuff, but yeah, it's in the Dev's hands.

I am glad you have the Warhawk one of the best mechs out can take a atlas out despite the -15 tons disadvantage.

The tonnage isn't the issue in this respect, it's the TechBase (assuming, of course, 1 on 1 fight). Better heat management and longer range weapons will do that.

Put it up against a comparable or stronger Omni (in a 1 on 1 fight), then you see OmniMechs that can take out the Warhawk just like any other Mech.

And this doesn't take in to count piloting skills.

I mean, a Jenner could take out an Atlas if the situation was right and the pilot was really, really lucky.

So I am not very familiar with the battletech universe, I only played the MW3 MW4 and The expansions. But I was curious about the Fafnir? is it an IS or Clan and will it likely be avaliable?

Would this be a good time for me to go through the tech manual from CBT and list all the weapons available in 3049? ;)

I do have a list lying around, you know.

PLEASE do so sir, and I bid you extreme haste!
