Guardian, I ain't angry, was just slightly annoying is all. Don't sweat it if IRL becomes too busy, I can do something and send your character off on some chore if you need the space or sommat.

Patrick, it's fine, you can leave stuff hanging for me to pick up with, or not, it's all fine by me.

Sparks, I'm roughly in the same boat, I speak some German, and I can grasp the general meaning of what's being said, and I find the situation to be amusing.

And to clear up the question, I don't expect people to roll, though if you want to, that's fine, just be sure you're not totally wrecking stuff unless there are a LOT of contacts.
You can decide if stuff hits, so long as it isn't a 100% hit chance, also do take some hits back on occasion, especially if you're doing risky or stupid stuff.\

EDIT: Gonna be posting again either tonight or tomorrow.

@Janitor, the "secure" TOG just requested is fine in the open, it's just that the character would ask to speak in private as a military courtesy about what he is about to propose.

namely, TOG no longer leading Lance two, but running a fast patrol loop along the left flank, in front, or a bit of both; he would try to stay at least four or five km out until/unless he encountered overwhelming force or the lance needed him back.

and "no" is completely appropriate, i won't get my pants all in a knot over it.

Sheperd, I'm guessing you spoke the thing Shade was supposed to hear, while he was in his stupor/shellshock

anyone besides me notice that the ambush they just set up was extremely expensive? pattons and rommels have fusion engines, and are much more expensive than most tanks.

yeah, it's like they knew we were coming... all we were missing was a Von Luckner. of course, that begs the question of what might be 2 km north of us... if there is the same ambush meant for us if we had gone that way? One that might swing around behind us as we walk on... wouldn't be pretty for our support folks or the salvage crews...

any chance we can retcon the pattons into Po heavy tanks? similar weapon profiles and weight, but they use ICE engines and carrey 10.5 tons of armor vs 16.

also a Po costs 1.057 million while a patton costs 2.719 milion.

Dal, my vote on that depends entirely on our currently contracted salvage rights. :P

considering we are just about all freelancers i don't think we have salvage rights.

that and we are running our contracts from within a planetary unit, not a standalone merc unit... Duke Osric gets the scrap to further the war effort... well, as long a he pays us... ;)

And can I just say how much I'm thoroughly enjoying this. The calibre of writing and creativity on display from you guys rivals that of the Rommel's main piece I'm about to blow off ;)

can i rip the turret off the patton stab some metal through it and turn it into a shield? (i mean the one that the rommel killed, not the still active one.)

I am certainly enjoying playing along with you guys, this is loads of fun even if I screw it up every now and then. And Janitor, can we call in those ASFs we saw earlier?????? For Combat Air Support?

i had a thought on something we could do after the tanks are dead (besides turning the pattons turret into a 1 use shield lance combo, but i still think that is funny, and am waiting for permission) send tog out to keep our flank secured (since we are the top of the line) have him run into a pair of wasps and a locust, send me and guardian out to pull him out of the fire (locust is as fast as he is. that plus the wasps means he would not be able to break away easily, despite being able to take any of the 3 1v1. me and guardian are beat up and have the same movement profile. plus after the next ambush (got to be more coming) all 3 of us could flank it)

I was actually thinking if Janitor sent me out front and gave me just a general map of obstacles ahead, I could save him some of the work load describing things until I get jumped (he wouldn't tell me what is or isn't there beyond the physical important features or structures). At that point, having support would be nice... TOG can dance, but 3v1 would likely mean trouble before long.

Or not. I do think Janitor has a plan... have no clue what it is yet, but I suspect we will find out soon enough.

which is why i give suggestions. likely he does have a plan, but this would also allow him to stretch out the campaigh a bit, as well as tie up a loose end.

also feel free to say no to any of them. i weird ideas at time.

I'm working on some more zoomed in satellite images, and any other related stuff I can get my hands on that could be useful.

So far I'm not so keen on sending TOG off alone to scout, cause with TOG gone, I have no good replacement options from Lance Two, Spoke's rookie isn't a prime idea, Shepard's character would probably jump on my mech, rip the hatch open and beat me to death at the suggestion, Guardian Wolf's character has mental issues.

Dunno, I like the idea of sending someone out ahead as a forward scout, but I'm not convinced it should be TOG.
