Sprechen die immer so künstlich tief? Klingt auch ziemlich nach auswendig gelernt und vorgetragen.

hört sich schon spannend an, was denen so im kopf rumgeht...aber zu sehen ist davon leider bisher noch rein gar nichts. dh. für mich ist ein release 21.09.13 mehr als zweifelhaft.

und ich kann mir nicht helfen, aber Brian Ekman erinnert mich immer irgendwie an den hier

hmmm lässt aber mehr fragen offen als es beantwortet, wenn man Davion spielt kann man nur Kurita oder Laio bekämpfen ? hat also zwei fronten, oder gibts nur eine wo es ne feindfront und ne heimatfront gibt ?? also Kurita VS Davion
Steiner VS Marik, Laio VS Laio ? XD

der nächste punkt: werden dann merc corps so wie die top kompanien bei WoT ? kämpfen um ein paar felsbrocken die ein paar MC oder ER PPC's und mechs abwerfen ?
und was hindert leute dann daran immer die seite zu joinen für die es in der woche am besten aussieht ?

It's a much more revealing interview than the previous one.

TL;DNW summary for the lazy:

Russ does part 1:
+Been 6 months since Open Beta, have done a lot

-new simplified mechlab that helps newbies through the complex BT rules
-new user experience greatly improved (testing grounds, new user controls, etc)

Bryan does Part 2:
+CW will be the meta game over the match play
+Do play-now if a lone wolf (game as it is now essentially)
+Can join a faction - join a house without needing to worry about joining a guild, meet times, etc
-Gain passive boosts
-Your matches will help determine the game map
+Guilds
-your own ranks, your own name, companies, and lances
-fight for specific systems
-schedule matches against other merc corps for planet possession
-winning gives you occupation rights
-occupation rights give you access to income, items, mechs (and change the map)

+E3 prototype was ambitious, still playing around with it

Die Jungs ackern hart für ihr Geld. Und machen einen guten Job, das muss man ihnen lassen. Kenne Entwickler die ihr Spiel nicht so oft Patchen, Content nachreichen und Hotfixes raushauen.

Border Planets - hm.....eigentlich ist mir die Border Bockwurst.... mit gehts nur um einen ganz bestimmten kleinen Kreis an Planeten...irgendwo in der Nähe von Terra

Hm aber interessant ist einges schon...
  • andere GameModes erst in Zuge des CW
  • Schade: Ein MercCorp kann nicht am CW Teil haben, also nix mit: habe gerade einen Planeten für Kurita von Davion erobert, Haus Liao was zahlt ihr dafür :)
  • Public Test Server
  • Durch das HSR zu hoher DPS - wird reduziert
  • oh diese Daten zur Waffennutzung - ähnlich wie die Heatmaps auf den Karten - mist ich will die Zahlen haben
  • na gut Poptarging is freilich nicht erst mit dem Highlander aufgetreten
  • PPCs werden überarbeitet

Just listened to the relevant portion of the podcast and want to share the highlights with those who aren't able to listen.

Russ states that it's possible clan mechs will be introduced similarly to the project Phoenix program "We've thought about it. We don't know for sure. There is a reasonable chance. We have a process now right? We did it with founders, we did it with Phoenix. It's a great way for the community to say 'we want a top notch mechwarrior product'...it's feasible. Right now, there is no plan cooking, brewing."

Clans will be worked on after all other major features are completed. "We've got our plates so full, to get this game launched. To get these major features that we are launching in 2013. Clans are not the priority. Once we get those major features done, clans are the next major thing.

The 1:1 timeline in the universe is dead as far as Russ is concerned in terms of setting deadlines for features to be done. "My opinion is, the timeline was interesting at first, was kind of cool, but it's not a driving factor anymore. Its not a very important aspect. Its more important to have a quality game"


Russ admitted that CW can't be worked on fully until UI 2.0 is finished "Community warfare is heavily reliant on UI 2.0. If you think about all the things we are going to be doing with factions, and everything else - it's one thing to spend all the time building those into a user interface that we have currently that is going to be completely rewritten or is incapable of doing it properly...so it's added some extra time before we can get these features into people's hands. But we are just trying to do everything the right way."

12v12 should be out within 30 days "All I can say for sure is it looks like 12v12 will hit in July. We are within a week of public testing. We should be testing it internally tomorrow. ...We are within 30 days or so, maximum, of getting that into public hands.

UI 2.0 hopefully before launch (Late August, Early September) "Really trying to get that out before our late summer launch."

CW will come out in phases and more depth will be added as they go along "Community Warfare is definitely going to come out in phases. It would be best to let Bryan speak to it, because I can't speak to it as well as he can. It's going to come out in several phases so you will have stuff this fall for sure, and then more depth will be added."

Da ich selber im IT-Projekten unterwegs bin, kenne ich die Ankunft des Projekte in der Realität zu genüge und freue mich drüber, dass die Jungs dies nun endlich einmal erkannt haben :D
