... but alas, that is not how a quite vocal group on the internet operate. They do care about your statistics and will not even consider your argument, no matter how valid or well founded, if it is not backed by ample statistics.
Have you not experienced this? I do not know of a single community that has public statistics that does not treat it as if it was bottled truth. So even if you can handle public statistics, my firm belief is that most can't and that this game would suffer if it were.
But this is just in the context of a forum, where we can actually deliver arguments. I'd imagine getting a match without dropouts and or endless complaints to be a far more pressing concern. Look no further than to World of Tanks.
