I would be fine with this, as long as the it stays with the original canon values of 1pt/15 mins

Also shouldn't there be a fee for mobile field repairs?
I think about 100 million should be about right for the cost of 1 mobile field repair
Armor is expensive man...especially when your repairing it mid-battle :)

So, shutdown for 15 minutes to fix an armour point (2 since doubled) and...your match is over. Just say no.

But wait, the MC one will repair you by 80%, but the C-Bill one will be 40% until you earn 15,000 GXP :)

I wouldnt mind seeing some kind of repair option in the game but only if matches lasted more than 20 minutes or so... at 15 minute matches that usually take 5 to 10 minutes I dont see a benefit to repairs since most matches right now devolve into team death match anyway...

No, so unrealistic. Unless it takes more than 3 hours in real time to repair your Mech then im all for it :)

*Sarcasm*
Interesting idea. It would be the next logical step after the introduction of Coolant Flush.

ahh,the healing potions i was talking about when they announced mana potions... well

they can bring them in the original form... 1 point of armor per match lol...

but i have a feeling that one day they´ll slam something like that into our face... i lost my faith regarding such things... come on,bring them... i survived over 10 years w/o a MW game... would be sad, but i can do it another 10 years

1 POINT per 15 minutes... thats 4500 minutes for 300 armor... 75 hours...honestly zvero...have fun keeping your mech in a match for half a week lol :D

to be fair, MW3 hat this with that three repair trucks (that you have to protect) which also rearmed you.

50% repair would be too much, but maybe 10% or 15%, why not?

At least in the books there were "field repairs", too - given our fast paced matches of 10-15minutes, powering down for 15 to 20 secs for 10% armor sounds fair as long as it is one time per match.

Would be a better mechanic than coolant flush, because you had to leave the battle and you would be vulnerable for that time.

A game only lasts 15 minutes. A few seconds wouldn't even repair a fraction of a point of armour on one location.

I like this idea. Repairs no more than 25-50% of your armour, unable to restore any limbs that are lost or internal damage. consumable.

Combine it with the honey badger area defense module.

Not sure if trolling or serious...

I think the answer to this one is pretty obviously resounding:

Permanent damage, like no respawns, is one of the things that sets MWO apart from all the other vanilla shooters these days.

If PGI read this thread and add this to the game, I am holding you personally responsible.

It should only be able to be used only about 3 times a match, and should repair no more than 40-70% of your armor at once, to keep it balanced. Also, since adding extra vehicles and a dustoff sequence to the game might take extra work, it should probably start the repairs immediately , and last about 5 seconds. Only with those conditions would it be balanced enough to use.

I would be happy to have a repair mobile field base located on the outskirts of the map that can repair your mech in 3 minutes while
powered down. this would leave you very exposed.

1. I know this is a troll-OP

2. Since we will get consumables anyway it is just a matter of making every consumable of same value.

3. since we know the vaules of air strikes/artillery and coolant flushes we just need a value for armor repaired in x time.

4. Let's say you can repair 2 points of armor in 15 seconds (and you have to shutdown and use up your drone at once meaning you can't start repairing then fight and continue repairing again) it would have the same value as the flushes for me....

This would be 8 armor in 1 minute. 24 Armor in 3 Minutes, 40 Armor in 5 Minutes. up to 120 armor in 15 Minutes (not feasable). For me this sounds balanced, since it means you are totally exposed at that time.

PS: PGI, If you are still planing to add 3rd person view, make it a consumable too :)
