Would have prefered Logitech as the manufacturer... but that might just be me. Otherwise it looks pretty freaken sweet

They allready have better mech controller and probably cheaper and better quality.

Here is a link to some ACTUAL pics of the Artemis. It looks cool but I’m not sure it’s worth the $$$. You can see that the throttle is a slide bar next to the keypad.

CH Products makes some EXCELLENT hardware. Back in the old MW4 days I used a CH Fighterstick and the CH throttle. Unfortunately they were not USB and don't work with any Windows operating system past Windows 95. I now use the Fighterstick USB alone mainly because of the expense. I'm also used to using the mouse in my left hand for fine targeting since I'm left handed. The Fighterstick is an F-15/16 type of setup and only available for right hands.
I hate using a keyboard and can program every function I need directly on the stick so I never have to take my hands off the stick or mouse to hunt for a keyboard key. I find the hardest thing to do using this type of setup is remembering all of the button assignments on the stick!

CH makes both gamer and industrial products. This one is actually Military only. It's actually regulated by the State Department:

CH Fighterstick
The Fighterstick USB includes 3 axes and 24 buttons, including X,Y and Z axes for Aileron, Elevator, and Throttle control. Switch between three modes for a total of 176 programmable functions with the included Control Manager software

CH Multi Function Panel - I had not seen this before looking up the link for the Fighterstick. This thing is very cool, each key is wireless and MOVABLE so you can position it on the tray wherever you want it, they even sell additional keys to add to the set.

I don't understand why CH has such lousy marketing, I never see adds for them and they make some great products. I guess they consider the gaming side of the business as secondary to the industrial controllers they make.

I've purchased and currently use several Razer products and have not had a problem with anyone of them. Like all things in life, "Individual experience will vary". Now that I've said that all my Razer products will blow up.

If you have contracts, you don't need to market.

Artemis does look cool, but sadly I'm left handed lol. Otherwise I'd try one.

For whatever reason, your link for the Fighterstick is directing me to a zoomed pic of the Razer Artemis left hand button/throttle area. Do you have another link or edit the link in your post?

Looks good, I like my razer mouse. Not sure about the LCD screen though as it would just add to the cost.

Sorry but the Artemis was doomed to be a failure the moment you selected Razer to be the manufacturer.
Their cords are low quality so they go kaputt for no real reason. Their trackrecord on quality, service and sincerity towards their customers is downright abyssmal.

I've been using a Razer Naga for about a year now with no issues. I hope that continues. This thing reminds me of the $125 SWTOR keyboard that fell apart on everyone.

I've had a Razer Lachesis mouse for 3 years and not a single issue.

Also got the Razer Carcharias Headset which is amazing (the speakers are incredible).

I looked at getting the artemis, but my girlfriend bought me the Razer Hydra for my birthday in September and it's far, far better than any joystick I've previously used. It has the feel and immersion of a stick, but the extreme precision of a mouse (and I mean extreme precision, it's crazy), plus more buttons than I know what to do with. It's cheaper than a lot of sticks too, so worth checking out if you get the chance.

So is this thing still on track, or will I have to save up for a Mek Fu?

Yeah.. those Reaper Ground Control setups cost about $8000. Probably for no other reason other than they can get away with charging that much.

I haven't heard any good things about joysticks working well with this game. I started with one and it worked ok but was slow to react. Then the bug made it worthless and the workarounds didn't help. So I went back to a mouse. I don't think I will waist any money on another.

considering that joystick support was put on the back-burner while they get game-play issues going no wonder joysticks don't work that well...

I say again tho'... partnering with Razer, everyone has to realize that full joystick support is coming... why partner to have the Artemis made than blow off all support for it...

Same reason you partner with Nvidia. Sponsorship tags is one I can think of. They pay to have Nvidia plastered on the splash screen the same way razr will have their own splash screen we have to spacebar through.
