Rarely ever played Assault mechs in any MW game Ive played. Probably played light mechs slightly more but over all I split my time up between light, medium, and heavy. Will likely do the same again.

would be cool if they let us run around in powerarmor. wouldnt mind annoying some big mechs in an elemental or salamander lol.

Personality I always liked using a med mech or heavy every now and then. I like having the speed and jump jets. And when you can learn the controls jumping and hitting the head from above might be hard but feels so good when you land behind them.
And with city fighting a faster mech will be more useful then slow power house one.

Hehehehehe.

The weight class I play primarily is Light Mechs. You all can count on me for all your intel and spotting needs.

For me it's all about the Assault Mech. Atlas was my beloved dragon turtle. I may be slow, but when I get close enough my bite tears your head off.

And frankly I prefer to play the '***' Mech seen on the horizon about 15 mins after the vibration of its steps are felt by the enemy. Fear us, for we're coming..

My callsign says it all; you'll need a dozer to find your body after the shitstorm I lay down on your weak-*** mechs!

This is all well and good until you set off the vibromines. :)

That's why I have reinforced armour in my legs :) Made me chuckle that did.

Give me a Wolfhound, Catapult, Dervish, or even a Raven, I'll be good. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for heavies and assaults, they are the abuse givers and takers. But like any good mechanized war machine, the big boys need to know where to send their payloads, and they need somebody to keep the other side preoccupied.

I'm actually happy to pilot anything -except- an assault. I love light mechs, and would be perfectly happy to take on a larger machine in my Jenner. When it comes down to it though, I'll always be a Marauder pilot.

There might be days where it's fun to take an Assault mech for a ride just to have that kind of firepower under my trigger finger, but it's not something I'd make a habit of.

Depending on how this game actually plays, probably mediums or heavies. I would say heavy is my favorite weight class, but I'd probably be the first guy to volunteer to take a light mech for my team.

Well if i had to pick an assult mech, it would have to be the Berzerker assault mech. I dont see it being used in the game here. But if they do ever bring out melee weapons into play then you'll see my in a silver and black Hatchet Man walking the streets :)

I'd even play as Battle Armor if given the option.

Every weight class has their use, and I'm hoping we'll be able to rotate at least a small number of mechs so as to make sure we can use the right mech for the right job. That said I'll probably be sticking with mediums, and heavies about equally.

I'm more than willing. In fact, eager to not be an assault.

While it can be fun to 1 shot everything with a volley of PPCs/Guass/AC's/etc...

I prefer mobility of lights, or the versatility of mediums. Fighting takes more skill, and IMO the reward of satisfaction is much larger. I remember playing through most of MW2 in a Firemoth, just insane!

Unfortunately MW4 degraded into Hill HUmping in assault mechs, JUMP AND APLHA STRIKE, OVER-HEAT, REPEAT.

That being said i hope that they enable onshot kills like in MW2 Mercs and MPBT:3025, because it sucked not being able to oneshot someon's cockpit in MW4

I always liked to be part of a team of elementals, just destroying Assault mechs in MW2, very fast, small, and hard to hit. The downside, is that once hit, you're done.

Im for Cauldron born myself (if it will be added, since this is before Clan invasion), so Heavy. But untill (if) it becomes available, Ill probably ride something like Uziel (or Uriziel, Im not sure), or Vulture (or however was the mech from MW 4 intro called). Sorry for my name problems, but I played the game soooooooo long ago, that I really dont remember almost anything. :)

Hey guys was wondering who wants to start up the Mercenary unit Wolf's Dragoons, or even better, get clan wolf started up. I've been practicing my skills back up to where they used to be at so I'm a decently good at commanding, scouting, or even escorting the scouts.

By the way, I saw the trailer with the warhammer up against the atlas, and I'm pretty sure that if the guy would've played his cards a little better, he would have won

For those of you not reading, I guess posting this is pointless because you're already not reading. But still:

The era is 3048. There really isn't much "full tech" and certainly not Bushwackers and Shadowcats. Frustrating to read posts from people who don't know the universe and its history (especially from "real" battletech -- the board game).

I will joke about recon Atlases all day, but really and truly, I like any class. They each have their strengths and weaknesses, and differing roles depending on the mission at hand.

I do like assaults, but quite a lot of the mediums are fun, as well as the lights. I'll probably even start with a light and stay there in at least one incarnation.
