I am a big Thunderbolt fan and would definitely like to pilot one in the game. I am also partial to the 55 ton Wolverine, Shadowhawk, Griffin mechs. I wonder if they will have reseens?

Lights or heavies here. I admit, I love the Timber Wolf and I always will.

that'd be a cool mech to see in the game, eh?

YEAH!

Of Course, we can expect that Merc Corps affiliated with different houses might have access to different build tables. For example, a Merc Corp allied to the DC could purchase from the DC build table: "Yes one Hatamoto-Chi please."

If they restrict by house, I'll be spending a lot of time in the Hermes and Spider.

Spent most of my time on the old MW4 server run by DSC, no radar, no respawn etc etc. I found myself piloting a Hellbringer with the entire electronics suite, 2lbx-20s and an ERLL with a slight engine boost. Worked great in the urban maps and was a nice flanker/ skirmisher on the open maps. I was a big assault guy in MW2-3 and most of MW4, but I grew to like the faster paced heavies and playing them like light or medium mechs.

I'm not opposed to piloting something less than an assault, but I just haven't played a game that I felt integrated them right.

No love for the Whitworth? It's already an awesome 'mech; tough armor, great firepower, and decent mobility. It's practically a mini-Archer.

With new technology it'd be even better. Using Endo Steel, I can free up enough tonnage for an additional ton of LRM ammunition, CASE to protect the ammo bins, and another half-ton of armor. Double Heat Sinks will let it use it's LRMs, Medium Lasers, and jump jets more frequently.

I'm a fan of most anything between 40-65 tons. I don't mind being a jack-of-all-trades and a master of none. Crusader, Thunderbolt, Wolverine...give me something along those lines.

My favorite 'Mech is a Marauder (don't know if we'll have the pleasure of piloting those), but as a class I actually favor light 'Mechs. They're good for flanking enemy forces, quick hit-and-run attacks, and have unmatched mobility, especially with jump jets. While I will definitely go for a Marauder if it makes the cut, I will probably pilot lights 'Mechs for the most part.

I'm a big fan of the dual Gauss rifle equipped Vulture in MWLL, so I'll probably give it a spin whenever it is added.

As far as Inner Sphere mechs go, I'm a big fan of the Raven and Catapult mechs, and the Crab looks like it'd be pretty fun to pilot too.

I don't think I will ever pilot an Assault. They are just too slow. I'd probably be found best in a Crab, Hollander, or Bushwhacker, failing I can't pilot a Catapult or Marauder.

Assaults are way too slow, fast heavy is going to be the slowest I plan to go.

Medium or heavy here, I like the flexibility of being able to relocate to where I'm needed, and assault mechs are just too slow for this.

Like any good commander would say, The mech I use depends on the situation. And it sounds like the game is going to support this philosophy.

That being said, I always had a soft spot for Mediums. Good mobility, Firepower, etc. 55 Tonners being preferred. The Wolverine-6M was the best Medium Solaris Dueling mech back in early/mid 90's on GEnie's MPBT.

The thought of mugging someone in Urban combat with a Hunchback and it's AC20 makes me giggle.

if clan meks availalbe... vulture, shadowcat, hellhound, timberwolf.

if not: ostroc/ ostsol, dragon (modified of course.) or if needed from my unit i´m the bad guy with the 100ton mek... like an lrm equipped atlas or dual gauss kingcrab.

but still all depends on the interface and controls. if lrm locking in is like MW4 mercs it would be difficult against the faster units (who most here prefer) and i would use some lasers instead... or autocannons. love the lb/x...

cya ingame.

i prefer medium and heavy mechs, but really, every class of mech should have it's place, and it should be fun to give all the classes a go.
