Ideally - double the damage and make them fire in 2.5 second bursts with 2.5 second down time, because you can't keep your lasers, other ballistics, and missile on target while firing the machineguns unless the target is sitting still, meaning - they do less DPS in a practical firefight than posted, by a long shot.

b ) 2 - 2.5 DPS with current damage profile minus the cone of RNG.

It's almost like the 1,000+ post thread on MG feedback is wilfully ignored.
That's 1,000+ posts just in that thread alone; with the 4,196 posts in the linked threads from the first post, there's been over 5,000 posts on MG feedback - most of it saying the MG's need a major buff; much bigger than the one they got last patch.
And still the MG sucks.
