*snip long post of other games with small issues at launch*

So make a short list of the major problems with MWO and you'll see what we're talking about. You're acting as if MWO only has a few small bugs... but they have MANY GIANT PROBLEMS, MANY GIANT BUGS, MANY STUPID SOLUTIONS.

I just found a new bug yesterday.. was in a ppc stalker (i know, i know.. I just like to compete), anyways.. right torso got blown off.. still hadd all my PPC's, and even my arm floating in the air... but the torso was gone. They ended up blowing off the OTHER torso, and I lost those weapons, but was still running around with 2 ppc's in a supposedly missing section of my mech, and a phantom arm connected to nothing.

I didn't even bother reporting it as I know it is a waste of my time.

But, dont let my story side-track you.. answer my above request.

EDIT: While you're at it, make a list of how long it took those studios to fix those problems... then compare to how long it takes PGI to fix ANY problem.

Oh, did you miss the bugs with the Call of Duty games which are lobby games I posted or did you just want to vent about something?

Edit: Infinity Ward took up to two months to fix the Stealth Bomber one, forgot how long it took them to fix the Javelin Launcher one. The buggy terrain one in CoD4 is still there to the best of my knowledge.

Nice way to ignore 90% of my post.

(Also, referencing Call of Duty is classic)

Nope, my examples were to list why I don't expect everything to be done and working by launch time because of past games doing the same.

And then you showed that you exhausted your knowledge with that list... or are purposely avoiding answering my request as you know it will show my original point is in fact correct.

In short, you have lost.

When you're in a hole... stop digging.

Also, you're soft. Allow people to walk all over you and go back on their words.

You realize CW was due to be live over 6 months ago?

Keep believing the business speak...

I don't see any specific request for me as my original post didn't reference anyone in particular.

Gonna have to take one out of Dubya's book to save this ship.

Judging by the timeline pgi released months ago, they planned to "release" the game with only phase 1 of community warfare implemented. Meaning players will be able to have a unit tag and join units. That's it.

I do agree that the game is developing slowly. Take Never winter for example. They went from open beta to release in about 6 weeks. While I am sure that game is not perfect, at least they are honest. But then again I'm in the crowd that considers MWO released now. I mean damn we have been in open beta here for a year by the time "release" comes around.

Neverwinter was in development for several years before that, though, and had undergone several delays, AFAIK. And that was with a fully existing MMO platform from Cryptic. I am not sure what went wrong with them.

When EA sold off Cryptic to PWE, PWE had Cryptic change the scale on what NWN was supposed to be. So it took longer for them to release the game. but also people were abusing the forge aspect of the game by making dungeons with all the mobs on a little tiny island surrounded by lava or whatever and all you had to do was go in and knock them all off for full XP and level to 60 in a day.

Look above. I am at work and can't go into huge detail of all the problems. I took me an hour to type up my original post.

Also, Infinity Ward has more people working for them. So I didn't make the list but did post how long the other studio took to fix something.

Since you are going off and calling people names, I think you need to go into time out or something. You sound angry IRL.

I honestly do not see what UI2.0 brings to the table. Sure it is nicer but it is not the game...they are spending all thier time on out of game features? not content?

Lobbies, chatrooms, a generally better social interface, the infrastructure needed for community warfare, the ability to form and join clans, save and strip loadouts, organize your mechbays, possible future tutorial, possible future map selection, detailed item tooltips, management of all your owned items... there's probably more stuff I'm not remembering; but those are all things the game needs, and they need UI 2.0 to to implement any of it.

So it isn't just about "looking better", it's the infrastructure to start bringing in missing features. They could have tried to shoe-horn in some of that stuff to the current UI, but it would have been a mess and I think they (wisely) decided to build a platform to support it first.

If that is true, then we won;t get CW until after UI2.0 and UI2.0 isn;t due until fall.

That is roughly the release date they are aiming for.

If I am not mistaken, CW phase 1 will be nothing more than the ability to form clans, and that's what we will "launch" with. We shall see if that can get that feature in with the same patch that brings UI 2.0 or not.

I'm pretty sure the "Launch" will go as scheduled. That means they will drop the beta tag. But I don't belive the game will be significantly different from what we have now. There will be some new stuff probably, but not enough and nod good enough to attract many new players.

Wouldn't call the quickdraw totally DoA, it's actually got a decent set of hitboxes which makes it quite a bit more durable than the Dragon.
It's just not suited to the current peek+snipe meta.

If they ever put exact weight matching into the game (not just weight class matching), and end up following through with a "no more than 3 ERPPCs without heat penalty" rule then the Quickdraw with become the best value for your tonnage for a poptart. Until then, if you aren't in an assault mech or maybe a scout, you're just hindering your team with maybe the exception of a 3D Cataphract poptart that can bring 4 PPCs to bear.
