Lots of great stuff - but 2x XP only for first win? 2x CBills would be far better, and both doubled would be perfect!

They are trying to make this into "World of Mechs," don't you know? They've left Battletech behind quite awhile ago...

Not sure what to think, I was looking forward to 12v12, but the idea of 12 singletons facing a 12 man drop..beggers belief, if this causes an increase in rofl stomps 12-0 of 50% I can see numbers dropping.

I'm just shaking my head in disbelief, that this is implemented before weighting sync drops has been added tested and gone live..

Still its not my pay check in the line here..

agreed. They need to make it so pugs play pugs, and groups play groups...

12 vs 12 is good if you dont need ammo. If you do, well... you just have been nerf. I have no problem with the 12 vs 12 if they increase the size of the clips but right now its not really an upgrade.

God forbid players learn to conserve ammo instead of fire wildly at nothing at the beginning of the match...heh. Jus' sayin'

Why would you implement heat penalties for SRMs, then release a 'mech that incurs those penalties on the same patch?

I second that question...doesn't make a whole lot of sense....but then again, I believe that the 4xSRM4/SRM6 limit was fine where it was...and I don't even use SRM's that often.

Don't agree with everything but a great patch nonetheless. Thanks, keep it up.

Only one thing to say, FPS drop to 10 frames or lower = unplayable.

I guess it's good we're still in beta then.

Only one reply to you, if you are a gamer you will have gaming hardware its never been cheaper in history of gaming to get good hardware.
If you are a casual then gl to you.

An ancient gtx 285 that costs 50$ second hand can run this game at 40fps on max all day long. So no excuse.

Even less likely to be able to play with more than 4 folks.

Thanks for driving more of our pilots away, PGI.

Agreed. This was a stupid decision, and it should be reverted.

Based on past precedent, I predict there will be an additional 10% reduction in rewards per member of the same group present in the game, past three. We're calling it "Ghost Taxes" to go along with the earlier "Ghost Heat" and the new "Ghost Damage" critical boost introduced by this patch.

When you ask for a change to be reverted, they double-down.

for me it feels like a mess to play on 8v8 maps with +8 more mechs. Anyway somehow more mechs increase the "action" factor...but why we are not allowed to choose if we want to 8v8 /12v12. Beside a still missing battlelist this could atleast offer an temporary option, till a "real" configurable game maker shows up on the horizon.

    • CB rewards have been adjusted to compensate for the additional 4 players on the battlefield.

So far iv noticed we get pretty much the same amount of cbills as 8v8, but due to it being 12v12 matches are lasting considerably longer, so glad I was hoarding cbills prior to this patch cause grinding it now would be grueling.

From what I've read on the forums for the last few months this game is hard to get running at a cosistant frame rate or even one thats frequently between 50-60 unless you have a high end system. I have a single 680 and usually run around 50 fps with frequent drops into the 20s-30s and I'm not even maxed out. Settings are on custom (mid to high) and even have my system overclocked.

I'd love to know the reason for that. Making mechs die even faster doesn't seem necessary.

You are not the only one who know how to play. After a few match, my usal set up of dual UAC5, 125 shot and my other w Gaus, 30 shot went dry rather quickly. On a 8 vs 8, i never realy ran dry so yeah.

its a direct nerf to ammo users and im pretty sure they know this.

What we can learn from this patch is, fit laser and be happy, the rest has been nerf for no real reasons.

After having played a few matches of 12v12, all I can really say is that carrying 11 people is a lot harder than carrying 7.

That and FPS is halved, from 50-25.

Going back on break from this game.

Edit:The funny thing about the FPS... It's 25 even if I walk right up to a mountain or face away into the sky or background not looking at any mechs at all... Doesn't make much sense to me...

Whoa, my 680 with no overclock crushes the game at 90 fps on high with dips into the mid 80s.

The damage modification for crits is wrong. What is the point of building the mechs how we want. If you are going to dumb it down to just throw it in and go. This takes away from heat placement and seems to make XL more sensitive because now more dmg is going strait to destroying the limb or torso all together.
