I've noticed that when you get a lot of mechs in a certain area all together at once, my frame rate drops from 60 FPS to 50-45 and I get the rubber banding and warp jumping in certain areas in game play on some maps. This is when I had my settings set to MEDIUM all around. I boosted my settings all to HIGH, and some problems cleared, but I still get the occasional problems of rubberbanding and warping on screen, more so than I had in any other patch, and it felt like I was back in the days of closed beta again.

Another thing, it seems HSR is having problems even worse than before and I'm noticing that weapons on my arms for certain mechs are not hitting lights, but if they are fired on different mechs from torso mounted weapons, they can hit better. I don't know why, but something I've noticed.

  • How had the patch generally affected your performance?
The game is now unplayable. My FPS is now 2.5fps and holding there. Sometimes it spikes up to 3.0fps. The game hardly recognizes single keystrokes at this speed. No problem using testing grounds. framerate varies between maps. Forest Colony Snow was around 10-20fps at lower resolutions

This problem occurs as resolution increases in windowed mode. 2.5fps is reached at 1792x1344 and above.
  • What are your video settings, did you change them since last patch?
Between Low and Medium before. Current patch set to low and no AA
  • Average FPS ingame and in the menus for previous patch and latest patch (Press F9 to see your FPS)
Above 50-60 in menu, 2.5fps in game

Here is my rig:

HP ENVY 15z

• Windows 8 64
• AMD Quad-Core A10-5750M Accelerated Processor
• AMD Radeon HD 8750M + HD 8000 Series Dual Graphics
• 15.6-inch diagonal Full HD BrightView LED-backlit Display (1920x1080)
• 6GB DDR3 System Memory (2 Dimm)
• 750GB 5400 rpm Hard Drive
• No Additional Office Software
• No additional security software
• 6-Cell Lithium-Ion Battery
• No Internal DVD or CD Drive
• Backlit Keyboard
• HP TrueVision HD Webcam w/ integrated digital mic
• 802.11b/g/n WLAN and Bluetooth®

I can run skyrim on the highest settings with no lag whatsoever. MWO I could run on low settings, with v-sync off, running at a 1024x768 resolution and I'd get a healthy 35-45 FPS in combat with multiple contacts. Now I'm lucky to get above 15. I know the lack of directx 11 is partially to blame since my processor is part of a newer chipset and optimized to run better with 11 vs 9. I know for a fact my setup should be able to run this game flawlessly on medium graphics. Hell, maybe even high.

Anywho, my final point being the game is completely unplayable for me now. I'd like to see tweeks made so I can at least play with medium graphics settings in the future. I don't know what was altered in the last patch but the game is now a resource hungry monster on my GPU.

  • How had the patch generally affected your performance?
Very badly, I went from 40-60 FPS on Very High settings at 1600x900 to 10-30 FPS on low settings at 1280x720. Performance did not change on the testing grounds so it seems likely my admittedly anemic CPU cannot take the strain of 24 mechs stomping around.
  • Whether there are specific points in the game when your performance changes.
I only played a handful of games due to how painful they were to play (I've been spoiled by 60 FPS for far too long), but FPS would start in the mid forties, then plummet sharply as soon as the start-up sequence finished and everyone started moving. Framerate hovered in the 20-30 range when no mechs were in sight down to the low teens when 6+ mechs are on screen and as little as 3+ mechs when they are smoking from damage. Dead mechs seem to sap as many frames as live ones. Smoke from mechs has been an on and off problem for my PC since I started playing, but never this bad.
  • Average FPS ingame and in the menus for previous patch and latest patch (Press F9 to see your FPS)
Same as last patch, usually 60, never less than 50 except when loading mechs where it drops into the red for a fraction of a second.

1. Game is much worse, frame rates under 10 as soon as the drop sequence finishes.

2. It's bad for as long as the match runs. Brawling, or intense action turns the graphics into a slide show. Unplayable.

3. My in game video settings had all been on medium before last patch with very few issues. Since having trouble with this patch, I went back in and turned all in game settings down to their lowest levels. It hasn't made any FPS improvements.

4. Intel I5 2320 @ 3Ghz, 10 Gig ram, Win 7 home premium, NVidia GT 520 1 Gig dedicated ram, 3 Gig shared system ram

5. Geographically, I'm in north central US. Running on a cable modem, speed tested this morning @ 30 meg down/5 meg up.

Hopefully there is a fix. I know my graphics card is not a gamer card. I did not buy this pc as a "gamer" pc. I have no intentions of upgrading my hardware to fix a game you guys broke. I have only played 2 other online games with this system, and they both play without issues.

  • How had the patch generally affected your performance?
I had 59 - 60 fps continuous before this patch,

Now it breaks down even to 40-45, depending on the maps. Bigger maps seems to be affected more, even those that went away like butter before this patch (Alpine, for example)
  • What are your video settings, did you change them since last patch?
Always 1920 x 1200

blur off
effects (medium)
objs (high)
texturing very high
all the rest is at medium
used to have post AA. Now I disabled it to soften up the fps drops.
  • Average FPS ingame and in the menus for previous patch and latest patch (Press F9 to see your FPS)
60 fps
  • System specs
i5 3570k

Z77A G45
8 GB RAM
GeForce GTX 660 (non ti) 2Gb

By the way, it the few times I jumped into the test servers, I didn't had any FPS issue. I'm also using latest nvidia drivers.

1. frames dropped from 50 - 60 down to 20 - 30. (12v12 on the test server didnt drop the performance)
2. none.
3. yes, tried lowering the settings after the first game, but didnt make any difference.
4. last version and 12v12 test server: 50 - 60 allways 60 in menu, now 20 - 30 with 60 in the menu.

cpu: i5 3570
gpu: radeon hd 5770 (overclocked)
RAM: 8GB
OS: WIN 8
Resolution 1440x900
connection: 25 Mbit/s

on the testserver for 12v12, there wasnt a problem with performance so i guess it was something else thats causing it, maybe something related to the LOD changes or the new lowspec effects

How had the patch generally affected your performance?
BAD! Dramatic decrease of FPS, even more lost sessions and random freezes during play.

Whether there are specific points in the game when your performance changes.
Especially on larger maps, the more enemys get into FOV, the less FPS.
Most lost sessions I get exactly at the point when I spotted a new enemy.
Massive freeze probs when MGs are around, reproducable when I'm in my jager with 6x MG: fire, freeze, dead.

What are your video settings, did you change them since last patch?
I needed to, without lowering the graphic settings to lowest available it became an unplayable slide-show.

Average FPS ingame and in the menus for previous patch and latest patch (Press F9 to see your FPS)
Before the patch I had up to 40 FPS and it did rarely drop below 30. Now it's 17-25 with low(er) graphics.
Cant precisely tell the menu-fps, but it dropped a bit until I lowered graphic settings; now it's about the same: nearly 40.

I used to have 60 fps on high before the patch (I could get 60 on max as well but I didn't like how hot my card was getting) but after the patch I get about 40 fps so still completely playable but if I've got this much of a drop I'm sure this patch has ruined the game for some people. I had an occasion yesterday day where I got hit square in the face with a ppc and it dropped me to 4 fps for a couple of seconds.
My specs:
GTX 660 ti
Intel i5 3570k
8 gigs of RAM
1920x1080
I live really close to the servers so I get less then 20 ping every game so that's not an issue.

I shave off 20+ fps without the hud on, seems a little weird for such a thing to be eating away most of my resources.

I have been playing this game for quite a while now and have not posted anything since whatever the issues the game had prior, I was okay with them.
However, I believe that this recent patch deserves a post.
12 vs 12 made the game more fun and a bit more dynamic.
The issues I have encountered while playing though, they were bad.

How had the patch generally affected your performance?
It lowered my fps from 25-30 to 15-24,

Whether there are specific points in the game when your performance changes.
Whenever there are a lot of mechs on the screen. It also lowers whenever I am looking at a mech targetted by a teammate, even when it is behind cover with no light of sight. It gets worse if there are a lot of them, even without LOS.

What are your video settings, did you change them since last patch?
1440x900, Low, and they have not been changed since the last patch.

During a brawl, the game becomes unplayable all of a sudden. My FPS even dropped down to a single digit at one point. I have had 2 games wherein the game client just froze for about 10-20 seconds. The first time it happened, I was still alive by the time the client responded. However, it looked like everybody continued to move in the direction they were moving, including me. There were some rubberbanding observed. The second time it happened, the client froze for a longer period of time. By the time the client finally responded, I got a flash screen that said I was dead. I was not targetted nor was I being shot at before the game froze.
I know I do not have the best rig out there, but the performance hit from this patch is terrible!
In summary, the patch made rendering and network performance worse: FPS and ping hit.
I might not be playing MWO until the next patch or, hotfix. It has become that frustrating for me.

My fps are capped bcs of vsync and while they are still at 60 I notice that my GPU fan is louder than before, which tells me that I have a perfomance hit bcs of 12vs12 but I don't notice it bcs the rig I play on is still good enough to get 60fps.
Playing on 1920*1200 with every setting maxed out.

My ping is kinda the same (perhaps 10 more) but I notice some freezes (alt-tab solves it) and some lag-spikes very often. Hit detection is as bad as before HSR but without the need of leading fire. Hit detection was best about 2-3 months ago.
