It helped some people.

Why do you complain?

Or couse they NEED to fix the core issues, but this is nice, at least the try and care!

I suppose my problem is more that this game has been poorly optimized from the beginning. I realize that the two fixes that the community as a whole has been proposing for at least a year and a half now are very arduous, but it's something that needs doing. It completely baffles me why they choose to use the cryengine 3 when they are barely utilizing it.

I appreciate the concern but to me this really didn't amount to a whole lot of work. "here's a new option!"

Ok, umm thanks. But that doesn't help the people who have poor fps from the start of the match.

I suppose if it actually does help that is good, but it doesn't feel like enough in light of other issues.

Instead maybe try filing a support ticket, include the framerates you've been observing along with a dxdiag. We will actually get all of this info from the CSR team and be in a much better position to reproduce any framerate issues you might be having here in our testlab. This is an enourmous help for us in terms of actually fixing the issues you are experiencing.

How do we check frame rate ingame again? I know we used to be able to do it but can seem to find it?

This would be an excellent option. I would love to see an 8v8 and even a 4v4 option for the game.

Maybe if you went with Unreal Engine instead of Crytek you wouldn't have such a demanding title made by novice programmers, but alas here we are.

I can't say I've had issues with performance, but after this hotfix, it went up to unprecedented levels for me. Game is smooth!

Gotta get a new GPU on that beast; 7950/760 are hella cheap and will let you max this **** at 1080p

Awesome. So PGI will hotfix anything to let players keep playing * which is (*!&@ good) but don't fix things like the AC/2 heat penalty which actually breaks the game.

I got a:

Q9550 @ 2.83
8 GB ram
6970 OC
Game installed on a RAID 0 system.

everything on low sometimes 16 FPS.

Systems is clear, nothing disturbes MW0, other games run fine.

I have a similar system but with 4 less gigs of ram.My system runs between 30 and 40. So I assume it is a system specific issue?

Runs very well, except for out on the open in Forest Colony, where it drops down to 10-15 fps on max settings. Intel® Core™2 Quad CPU @ 2.40GHz, 8 gb ram, Radeon HD 6900 Series

This fix doesn't really feel like a fix at all. It's basically them saying "fps problems well lower your graphics settings" This really didn't need a patch, just a forum post.

It cut the cost of the dynamic damage textures for some mechs by almost 400%, for all spec settings, at no loss of quality whatsoever. It turns out that for low-spec GPU's this is enough to no longer spill out of the GPU texture cache and results in significant FPS savings. For high-spec machines it can't hurt.

Yeah.... I dont think even if you put a GTX 670 will run any better. I just switched from this CPU to a 2600k. My Q9550 even @ 3.5ghz has trouble running Cry 3 games @ ANY res/quality....
