Is it just me, or are these the PC Gamer skin colors?

So...I look at my unlocked colors, and all I show are "PC Gamer Black", etc. No mention of "Phoenix Black", etc. But, yes, those Phoenix colors look very, very much like the PC Gamer colors. Shame on PGI if they've just recycled them.

Honestly, people. They are not the same kolors as the PC Gamer colors. There have already been several posts of images showing this, and even I with my 40 year old eyes could see the difference. And no, the Phoenix colors are not unlocked for you to use yet. They are unlocked as in a reward level has been unlocked and we will get the colors as part of our loot when the Phoenix Packages are released on October 15th. This is not a very complicated concept. It really isn't.

Geebus, the level of reading comprehension on these forums ...

The colours are unlocked for Phoenix Package owners. Package not released until 15th October, hence you won't get the colours until then. In addition, by the time 15th October arrives it's highly likely the second and possibly the third "unlock" will have taken place.

The early bird premium was time for you to grind out what little enjoyment you could before getting your phoenix refund after seeing the implementation of, and then doubling down upon, ghost heat. It was nice of PGI to pay people premium to try their new terrible system out, then give feedback in the form of support tickets when the forum feedback was summarily ignored.

Actually i guess, the Early Bird was to consume instantly, so you cant ask for refunds, as you "used the product"...

I didnt touch the Early Bird time yet.. and i now have respectfully asked for a refund. Should the issues be resolved, il will happily book Phoenix again.. if not.

Everyone I know that had started the premium time got to keep it when their refunds were granted.

Shoulderpads to make the arms easier to hit. Look at the Phoenix mechs in comparison to the normal mechs by clicking on them here: http://mwomercs.com/phoenix

Bike racks on the shoulders. Look at all the concept art and you will notice that only the shoulders are different. I can also see them making the hit boxes smaller than normal too, just because PGI has already forsaken any and all morals and it's what the silent majority wants.

Err... so what's the point of that whole "Phase 1,2,3 unlocked/locked" countdown on the website?

At first glance this looks like they already *are* unlocked right now, since it says, well, "unlocked" on the site.

*scratcheshead*

You've never seen the way Steam preorder unlocks work or Kickstarter stretch goals either I take it...

You preorder the package. If enough people preorder packages the little progress bar goes up. If the little progress bar gets past a certain point, more items are added to the preorder packages.

You don't get the extra items until the preorder package until it comes out. If there have been items unlocked, they are part of the package, but only IF there have been enough preorders to unlock it. (in most cases, the items may be separate, additional purchases/dlc if the community failed to reach the goal to include them as free preorder items, although sometimes the items are exclusives that will never be seen again unless they were unlocked from preorders)

Here is a link to Lost Planet on Steam. They are (as of this posting) in the middle of unlocking their second preorder unlock, much like we are. They have already unlocked the first prize the "Freedom Fighter Pack" for all preorders. This is an item that will probably have to be purchased separately for anyone that doesn't pre-order, but because enough people preordered, they're including it for free with everyone's preorders. If enough people keep preordering, they will add the "Assault Pack" and the "Punisher Pack" to people's orders next. If they meet whatever their goal is after that, all preorders will come with two other games for free, Bionic Commando and another Lost Planet game.

They don't get these additional items when they make their purchases, they get them when the game is released.

We don't get the loyalty rewards when we make our purchase, we get them when the Project Phoenix package is released.

Seriously??? You are rewarding us on how well you can market and sell something? Why not reward us on how soon we purchase the Phoenix package. This has more drive to get someone to buy than the way you are doing it.

Sort of. I'm aware of additional perks you get when you pledge more money to a kickstarter-pledge. But overall I'd say, you guessed right.. :)

Ahh.. now I get it. Thanks for the explanation.

Although I have to say I'm kinda with Slacker on this one:

A reward being given for something the individual has no control over? Nice to have, but nothing to get excited about IMO.

Bar raise each 10% started at 45% now it's at 50%.

Another thing altogether it's if more ppl will buy phoenix package or not.

P.S: if the common sense of most of the community goes on the same lines as the ability to deduct when the phoenix colors are released...

I'm worried that the fanbase of a 30+years franchise, seems to not be ppl in their 30-40+ years as most should be.

All the people that were going to or are going to buy the pack, already have, so It looks like we won't be getting those bonuses.

Well done once again failing to understand the community guys...

:D

In our defense (@43, I'm well within your specified age-range): The way they present it on the page, it's not exactly "intuitive". Your eye jumps to "current status: unlocked" and "color-schemes", so without prior knowledge of how these things work or reading the small-print, you'll assume that what's "unlocked" is available right now. Can't speak for everyone of course, but that's what happened in my case.

All this complaining :-)
For us who bought the package : xtra features for the same amount paid = jippie!
For those who didn't buy the package : some xtra's might be the sweetener as they missed out the early bird premium time.

About the game mechanics :
Its still in Beta, if u have remarks, post them to support or the Devs. if in the end, the games does not live up to your expectations, stop playing it. thousands of alternatives available all begging for your money and time.
But puuulllleeease,.. Rant a bit less in every possible post. If it causes u such stress and agony, don't be masochistic, just quit before you get health issues.
I mean, feedback is needed. Strong opposition to certain imbalances are also needed, but they have their own threads and topics.

For me, these extra's were a positive surprise. Thanks for doing the effort to squize more bucks out of people who still are in doubt.
U happy for better sales, me happy for more bang for the same buck.

Chill out people... Peace !

Don't worry about that, once you hit 30 you stop counting. :D
