Greetings MechWarriors,

Please be advised we will be performing a maintenance on Tuesday the 10th of September, 2013. This downtime will begin at approximately 10:00 AM (PDT) and last approximately 2 hours.

During the maintenance, the game and website may be inaccessible to players. The goal of this Hot-Fix is to attempt to resolve some stability issues, including some occurrences of players being disconnected from in-game.

Great! I hope the hot fix works well. Every little step forward is a win.

Oh good... the ninja hotfix announcement a week before the launch.

If only we could do the DX11 test in the Public Test Server...

Funny, but I do not understand some hotfixes.
People have really random on bugs in games. It's kinda "Russian rulette DLC" :-).

Nice. Which crashes in particular and which performance issues will be fixed? Was there something particular causing the slowdowns (hardware or software configurations conflicting with the Software)?

Generally true but people recall the great frame rate crashes and mentally "wonder"

Still I know of a pilot (whoes name I shall not disclose) that disconed on my team 5 matches in a row just last week. Felt so sorry for them hope this helps...

Its not really a "hotfix" if its done during normal maintenance time. Given its the week before launch I was hoping for a real patch today...

If this were any other game I'd say they're leery of breaking something, and may have a code freeze aside from very special issues.

But given that launch is evidently completely ceremonial, I think they may just be treating it like any other day (or all manpower is on the features originally intended for launch :V )

Anything that they have in the works would likely be saved until launch. Since they won't have a lot of stuff that people were counting on, every little bit of content would help.

Well since it is going down for 2 hours that means they are sending a big patch server side. And probably big client side patch. I would venture a guess that is is netcode and HSR getting a fix. And maybe the Avast virtuilization is getting fixed as well.

Fixes are good even if they are a week out from launch. Now if PGI would do ui2 then cw we'd be getting somewhere.

Was hoping for a substantive patch with new content but this seems to indicate otherwise. One thing at least is the addition of the remaining Orion variants (for MC, ca$h money). As an opportunity to make money I'd be stunned if this didn't happen.

Glad to hear about the dc fix. Does anybody know whats up with the getting stuck bug that came in the last patch. Seen that happen to about a dozen people including me. It looks like you are floating in the air most times. Coolish, but not fun.
