No my friend.. what we will do is not hold our breath.. we will hold back any money we wanted to give to PGI and see their little project die.

Thats right.. the game you find so great and awesome will not receive enough money and will die, no more game for you. And when you start bitching and moaning about people not spending money for this game and it fails because everyone is a meany head....

All we gonna do is whisper:

"Grow up"

"We"?

Yup i said we... got any problems with your ability to read?

Oh and just if you really have some.. the word "we" is not "all" or "everyone" so dont even try to bring up that strawman.

Fact is that more people are dissapointed in the game then there are whiteknights trying to defend this incomplete mess of code that was presented to us yesterday as "launched" while missing bare bones features that even the worst of EA titles would have had at launch.

So yeah... i think i am right when i use the word "we"

The fact is most people are playing the game and not bathing in the forum angst.

Some random guy talking on the internet about something he knows nothing about "confirms" your suspicion?

I'm a software developer who runs his own business. But you're right. I'm not a (professional)games developer and this is a current working theory based on very little information and about one hour's research. But then again, that's what I do for a living, get throught the client's ******** and delusion(they often outright lie to me), figure out what the software problem is(always the result of the business problem) and put a project fix plan into place. Then, more often than not do the work myself which results in 100+ hour weeks. Usually, my job is to save software businesses who should not be in the field in the first place. This project, with the media release snark, has that old familiar smell.

So, what was your opinion of the UI 2.0 history review, or the netcode review they posted? Make any (amateur) games using Cryengine? Are you familiar with the scalability and reliability of the lobby plug-in? Does it work on modified versions of the game engine? What support issues does it have, or security vulnerabilities? What recommendations would you make to the existing model structure to improve performance? Is the lack of multithreading an MWO issue or a Cryengine issue?

Cute strawman there.. i didnt even mentioned player numbers or active players.

Also nice that its a "fact" when no one kept for PGI and IGP really know player numbers. And they refuse to give them out when their direct competition has absolutely no qualms of posting theirs. Not really evidence doing you any favor there buddy. Not to mention that PGI thinks its a success that after only 1 year 50 % of founders still log into the game atleast once a month.. that means the number of regular players amongst the founders is even lower then that 50%.. and the founders are the real hardcore battletech crowd that are willing to spend unreal amounts of cash on a single game.

Also Active players =/= paying customers. But unactive players = not paying customers.

The game could have millions of players but if none of them actually buy anything guess youre out of luck.. the game will still fail. And right now only rich kids with parents credit cards or complete stockholm victims think this is a good game to spend money on.

Summary, Lack of multi-threading means no CryNetwork and GameObject synchronisation. Explains the following issues:

1. No game lobbly
2. Latency w/ object and mesh collisions
3. Hitbox collision misses*
4. Framerate drops
5. Client to server instability
6. No Community Warfare

They've said all these things already. How many times do you want them to repeat themselves?

Until the message is clear and the player base has a open dialog and trust so that we will have hints and forewarning about whats really going to happen.

I have seen other games have repeated setbacks and be able to communicate them to their player base effectively to the point that the most angry Members of the forums are shot down quite quickly and hard by other players because the vast majority understand things dont always go as planed.

Don't bother to argue with Heffay, he is trolling you all or simply blindfolded himself long ago. Just look at the 300+ comments he made in PGI's defense only in the 3PV thread, it does not matter what you say to him.

I hope you are getting payed for this Heffay!

You keep talking about facts that aren't really facts. They are made up visions of the world the way you want to see it.

Just to give some people a fact they might not realize while reading this forum: Russ Bullock is the President of PGI. The metacritic score/review under his name (which by the way is now deleted from the site) is more than obviously a joke by some disturbed person.

I understand how frustrating things can get with a failed launch like this, but doing something like that is just completely unwarranted. Its not just a one person responsible for game development, so I really feel sad that someone would be so freaking stupid to do that. I feel really sorry for Mr. Bullock.

This is what Im talking about:

There is no dialog. There shouldn't be. We provide feedback, but they are under no obligation to implement it.

No other game out there institutes a "dialog" with the fan base. That's professional suicide.

Like I said, time is more valuable to me than money. I religiously convert XP. I've even been known to buy a mech for MC and scrap it for Cbills so I can get that big shiny engine I want for my flavor of the day without having to grind for it. Grinding is lame. I've been known to buy a mech and instantly master it with GXP. Hell, I've elited an entire group of mechs just so I could master one.

$120 Founders
$80 Phoneix
$40 Sabre
$100 - 1 year premium
$400 - 4x 25,000 MC purchases.

Ok so it's technically $740, I exaggerated $60 of it. -_-

Show us your stats to support my theory that PGIGP is making money on americans that bad at the game.

At least now when they decide to change MWO into a my little pony game unexpectedly, to target a newer younger target demographic, people won't be able to defend the change by saying "It is in beta".

As opposed to the "grown ups" we see whining on the forum about a video game?
