You HAD captured the essence of what it meant to be a Mechwarrior... but then these stupid little drones started flying about and looking round corners...

I could not have said it better myself.

just wondering. do you guys have any idea how much revenue they generated so far from this game? i too am disappointed as i subscribed for the $80 phoenix project pack and spent around $25 additional dollars on mcs and stuff.

i guess if they earned like 500k and produced this product then i would understand. but if they have raised $5 million upwards then with the same end result then i would believe that the bulk of the money goes to their pockets while leaving maybe 10-20% for development.

Considering the lack of new features, they could have triggered the launch six months ago. What did we get during these six months? More 'Mechs? Inability to climb a slope? Terra Therma? Ghost heat?

In the end, perhaps we'll learn later that it was releasing at the same time than GTA V was deliberate. Think about it: it ensures media are too busy encensing the new game to point out MWO's flaws! Smart move!

Too bad the community is still able to see how PGI fails to impress and fails to deliver.

This is where you leave the game if it sucks, or start playing and stop complaining if you can't seem to leave despite all the flaws you keep screaming about.

Please stop telling people to quit playing MWO to create a competing product. It's a terrible position to argue from when you claim to be supporting MWO.

Maybe not the best of all solutions - but both (ignore the Terror Therme) did need some serious work - and were necessary...i really hope that terrain will have more effects in the future - but somewhere you have to start...

before having the higher ground and knowlege of terrain wasn't that important - but now its a important skill and tactic

No they are not - what a pitty - :)
because most people are affraid of beeing head shoted at 1500m or more - because the enemy see you glowing in the dark

Too bad it can't be on a toggle or something. Off by default but can be turned on for screenshots or if you want to be "Hardcore" lol

If I give you a script, PGI, will you (or whoever you had do it) re-do the launch video?

It's very pretty and full of ooooh and ahhh... but it really doesn't demonstrate any role warfare, tactics, or gadget usage.

That to me was a hell of an intimidation factor. The sight of glowing Atlas eyes through the mist was an awesome sight to see even if they were coming your direction. If we didnt have pinpoint accuracy I would hope cockpit lights could come back.

This was an excellent Demo launch. I look forward to the content rich game launch sometime in 2015.

And your source is? (Ignore question if, as assumed, the answer is "extraction from a bodily orifice commonly sat upon.")

serious question

does anyone think this game or it's dev's have a dependability problem?

Not at all. I'm certain the game will dependably underperform, and the devs will reliably ignore anything except their own pre-conceived notions and will fastidiously sneer at anyone who disagrees with them via Twitter. :)

Nope, the community member who made that trailer used old, old footage. (PGI couldn't even be bothered to make a trailer for their big huge "launch," see?)

This is where you stop making excuses and go make your own mech game. otherwise I take it you are suggesting that you can't do so.
I'm making one. Can I interest you in a founder's pack?

The $1000 stretch goal is adding third person perspective.

Is it just me, or are there more than 12 Mechs coming down the hill in the Launch Trailer?

False Advertising much?

I blame the self-proclaimed "elite" "competitive" players for this. :D

As if MWO had real competitions. :) :)
