Nothing much to interpretation, everthing is in BT rulebook. Its not interpretation is changing the universe. You should take all or nothing. Besides thay seams to just lack of basic knowledge and love for BT. Yeah I know its thay interpretation.

Why would they comment? This isn't a dialog. They said what they needed to say.

Because there are a lot of things being said here and the developers should be part of the conversation because this is their site on a post that they started about their launch day. Even little comments like, "sorry this is not what we had envisioned" or "Look we are just meeting a deadline dont get too wrapped up in this" would stop alot of the anger because the players here would see that their comments are being read rather than ignored.... which creates more frustration and anger.

That is a horrible idea. A game based on 10 second turns doesn't translate to a first person sim.

hmm try to describe my feelings
i recieved e-mail - IT IS LAUNCH am i right& - lets see...
wow looks like they did it - it is officially launched - maybe i need to play& for the first i must read about new feature and launch actions

hmm no new features ...
did they really mean mean no new features at launch AT ALL? - looks like this... - okaaay
maybe there is really cool ingame events for launch that i must play and calm fantastic rewards?
"receive a cool in-game “Operation 24” hanging cockpit item automatically." did they mean i must play 24 laggy games for only
cockpit item - cool story...
Now it is officially baddiest launch i ever seen for 15 years that i play pc games
game itself not bad but THIS so called launch is SOOOO lame that i even not believe in this till the end.
PGI - you MUST do something with that - at least give some temporary bonuses like ability to try 1 premium mech for 10 games per day or increasing gxp bonuses or mcs per 1st 3 wins of the day

The MWO is doing great. Don't listen to the haters and trolls, they are on an island. Best launch ever! Third Person View is a great success, with a great new player retention time (less than one week data). Great Founders players retention with 50%. The Game Balance simple, intuitive and working as intended. New CryEngine DX11 with tessellation enabled. Full Joystick Support. Track IR 5 Support.
Oculus Rift Support.
The new User Interface 2.0 is working great.
The new Lobby System is the best I ever seen to date with voice chat implemented.
The new Community Warfare is working flawlessly.
The new Game Music is a state of art.
The new mechs Soft Body Physics Collision looks like real life.
The new Terrain Destruction Destructible assets makes BF4 ashamed.
The developers actually listen to the community. They work hard and fast, they don't even take 2 months vacations to Las Vegas.
The community managers don't censor their forums, troll user signatures or delete comments on other social medias.
And finally: YOU CAN TRUST ON THEIR WORD!!!

What can I say more?
One of the Best 25 Shoters of All Time (PCGamer)

You ******* LIAR. I was absolutely stunned encountering this in Metacritic reviews. My disgust was palpable as I read on and on with increasing incredulity. Part of me wondered if it was a sick joke. There's simply nothing else for it - you, Russ, are a damn LIAR. I'm not even going to bother attacking each element of his review - it is self evident for even the most rabid of supporters.

I love the Mechwarrior franchise. All the way back to Mechwarrior 2. This wasn't the Mechwarrior 5 I was hoping for but I've been patient. Part of me is thankful your 3pv (never going to put it in my ****) was implemented incompetently. Ive been patient but enough is enough. Stop running the damn thing into the ground. Get it right or get out.

Launch? Bah. Pathetic
- a member of the no longer silent majority -

Couldn't even remove the Beta pic from the logo? Are you ******* kidding me? Incompetence doesn't even begin to describe it.

They've said all these things already. How many times do you want them to repeat themselves?

Sure, I'm not alone in my depression with this so called "launch"
Removal of "blue lable" You call launch ? Oh, my.....

Really - till the last moment was looking (and hoping) for smth "special", 'surprise"....like new map(s), relies free skin, at least smth to remember this event.
And - just and only the standart small patch.
Sorry, PGI, I can't call "this" a launch. Do not wish to wish you "good luck' you do not deserve it.
May be I'll take a look on mwo again, when the Houses / reputation / global map / clan tech will be implemented, but personally do not belive in the fact you can do it.

Umm...that's not the real Russ. It's someone just trying to make him look bad.

I can't believe you actually thought that was him. :(

Neg. I waited over a decade for this game, and a year and a half since 1st day closed beta. I can wait another year for a *real* Launch with UI 2.0 and real CW. Simple.

It's bad that star citizens hangar launch had more publicity than this games launch

There is no way this is actually Russ Bullock. A dummy account with his name. No developer is that stupid and at the end of the review it refers to Project Pheonix mechs being sold on "their" site. Not sure when Russ would have become so challenged with adjectives.

Regardless the user reviews aren't the ones I am concerned about. It's the actually game websites and actual critics who I will be paying attention to. If the official reviews blast the hell out of this game, then the developers need to hit the panic button, come to the forums with great humility, apologize, say they were horribly wrong, and start looking to the actual active community here for more direction. If the reviews are good (and by good I mean 6.5 or higher), then despite my dissatisfaction with the current state of the game I'll still stick around.

If that post actually had been Russ though, I would never have logged on here again. That would be it for me.

EDIT: I STILL WANT MY GLOWY ATLAS EYES BACK! DON'T SHOW THOSE IN YOUR LAUNCH TRAILER IF I'M NOT GETTING THEM BACK!

Atlai demands that his eyes glow

My apologies, you are correct - BT isn't really theirs to modify. MWO, however, is an artistic depiction of the BT universe. It's completely subjective, I realize, but I personally think they are making a pretty excellent translation from a fictional set of literature to a playable experience.

I'm not really "in the know", but doesn't PGI have the direct support from the creators of BT? If they in fact do, I would argue that working so close to the boiler plate would give them a pretty good first-hand knowledge of BT. I would also argue that they do seem to have a very powerful love for BT, if only for the fact that they are the ONLY group working on a mechwarrior title of this magnitude.

First, I like the game. I think it's fun, i can't stand the 3rd person view, and I don't let myself get worked up over nothing like a lot of the people posting on this forum. Still, don't you guys have a marketing team? Someone who can guide the company down a path towards successful interaction with the marketplace? This is definitely a lack-luster launch which should have contained something more that a half-hearted, tired replay of something that happens monthly. Just keep the game goin is all I ask.

Are you sure we aren't at Depression though. I mean this was Launch? Seriously. I would have planned launch with UI 2.0 and CW at a minimum coming on live. Let alone clan tech starting to make a show. But eh that's why I'm a gamer and not a creator. I have real vision and thought which I can direct and dumb *** producers and funders that pull ****** launch days like today er Yesterday. See so much time is going by and I'm already forgetting this game.

Bright side I'm taking my chances on EVGA gamings event that is currently going on. My time put into playing on their servers could get me someting. What's MWO going to do for me? Not jack **** and nerf my weapons along with flopping some more WAYYYYY Overprice paint patterns and colors into the game. Yea can't wait for trash like that. :(

Off to the shadows until this game actually starts producing something.

;)

If I'm not mistaken they aquired the rights to therefore they are the only ones who can.

Sidebar note. Aren't Launch event's usually the same time something Launch's? Or can products be just as gay as stores that are open for like two weeks all of a sudden having a grand opening event? I mean what a stupid a$$ f%$%ing concept. Open the doors to pay the electric for the week or two then have a grand opening/launch event. Sh$t makes no sense to me. Live/Launch/Opening HAVE YOUR EVENT OR WHAT EVER YOU WANNA CALL IT THE SAME DAMN TIME. Oh yea and actually bring something to the table just like those stores do. Good deals good stuff.

Eh I mean come on could have tossed out a 50% off premium time for all tiers. That's a sale that hasn't been done in a while. Let alone anything over a weekends time. Not that I would purchase let alone play this game anymore right now in the state of lies and false promises

Where is UI 2.0, CW, No 3PV (Which was said would never be added and look here it is), Proper drops, Clan tech the list goes on and on. What do we get?

Overpowered weapons one week.
Other weapons nerfed the next.
Oh goodie a new paint pattern and some stupid hangy **** that looks like a fake gif.
Hey guys heres a map with so many bugs it's the greatest thing ever. We will hit you up in 3 months time with some fixes so you can actually play it. Yet during that time you won't have the slightest f'in clue what map your going to drop on so you may get stuck here again.

Speaking of what the hell ever happend to us knowing what we were getting into so we could arrive with the proper equipment. That's **** I was reading about before I got in closed beta Juneish last year. Yep year later and we are still dropping in brawlers at Alpine Peaks and missle boats at River City so all our vollies end up in the side of a building why.......

Because we still have jack **** of a clue where we are dropping so we get stuck unprepaired just about every time. Yep lemme buy up some Premium time so my money can take a leap with my **** right down the porcelin god.

Granted, it's a small sample size here : http://www.metacriti...hwarrior-online

but with 50% more negative than positive reviews, that should open some eyes ...
also. "top 25 pc shooters of all time"
laughable. who's the shill who dropped that quote.

I like the game, I still play it (since early beta) - it's fun - but it has no where near the feature list it needs to properly compete in today's market, and it looks like it's from 2004.

Yea, disgruntled players giving the game a 0 is sure gonna open some eyes. Critic reviews are what to trust, not pissed off kids.
