It's not that people aren't happy about what they announced, or don't want the promised content. It's more that we've heard this a dozen times before, "It's coming soon, just around the corner, any day now, community warfare, clans, lobbies, and more." After someone tells you that something should be coming any day now a few times a month for over a year only for you to find out that there has been no tangible progress made at all, you start to feel cynical. So what we had at the launch was what we've had for over a year now; they've told us that CW is coming soon. Neat. But that's all they said, and they gave us no reason to believe that the promise this time was any more meaningful than the last 20 times. If they'd shown screenshots of what they had in progress, or given a demo, given concrete details about how it's all going to work, there would be dancing in the figurative streets. But we just got the same words we've been given before, and everyone who has been here long enough to know better is tired of hearing it.

I get that, and I'm with you. I've been here since beginning of open beta, so I've heard quite a bit. My point here was that quite a few people were complaining about the proposed mechanics, and I really can't figure out what exactly would make them happy. I do feel we need more maps and gameplay types, but the overlying idea for CW presented by PGI sounds about what I would expect from any similar ongoing online battle game. I understand the skepticism, but it sounds like some people wouldn't be satisfied if they said it were going live tomorrow.

biggest problem is we have been hearing about CW since the beginning.. Then they went silent about it for months.. The first part was suppose to be implemented already.
No new games modes in how many months, all they keep doing is putting out more mechs, which is fine but theres nothing else to do. Same {Scrap} over and over and over. And all for no reason

Awesome, that was just awesome, those 30 vs 30 battles were just awesome.

i really like the new awesome "Game Reset" feature when awesome people disconnect.
much better than to be forced to play when missing half an awesome team.
i think that's awesomely the best new feature of the awesome UI 2.0

and talk about tactics, those awesome tactics, no dough MechWarrior Tactics is the most awesome game ever.

saw a few new awesome maps,
toxic valley, boomerang, dark colony and the awesome new Vancouver drowning in blood..!
and new awesome community warfare, awesome flashbacks from space invaders, awesomely retro..!

guess its better than the current situation where people are bored and where Units are becoming cannibals and wreaking the friendship with internal bickering and paranoia, just so awesome.

all in all, just tactically awesome

if they went live tomorrow with what I saw tonight I would drop my signature, jump up and down, and neglect personal hygiene because I'd be logging so many hours in game lol

Requesting the youtube video in HD of the UI 2.0 and CW presentation at the launch party in exchange for sexual favors.

3000 planets!

ten maps :V

I think we can call it confirmed that faction warfare is just going to be deathmatch that fills up a bunch of bars, that let your 'faction' fill up a bunch of other bars. Even at the highest phase, it's gonna still just be a giant grind with no real consequence.

There were quite a few posts to this effect earlier. Again, I understand everyone wants more from the game now. But with statements like the above: what exactly SHOULD the overlying part of CW be? There definitely needs to be more game modes, but aside from "territory control" with a few perks for holding areas, there isn't a whole lot more it needs to be. I don't think people like this poster would be happy if it went live tomorrow, it would still not be enough to satisfy some people.

It has been posted in a couple of different threads tonight so no sexual favors needed. Unless you're a really hot redhead with long legs lol

The stream itself didn't look very hd to be honest. I think you might have a harder time finding an hd version :/

My question here goes at PGI:

How was it to have the real PROs at your launch event? Aka Catalyst Game Labs and Randall N. Bills. I bet the Alpha Strike games were not as buggy as MWO! :) Even with being a new Game Concept in Battletech.

Doesn't change the timeline either. It's a long, cold wait.

It's not youtube, but, you can find it at this link, starts 5 hours and 1 minute in: http://www.twitch.tv/igp/b/465216210

It lasts for 35 minutes. There's some interesting stuff, but we will see how it pans out. Wouldn't be the first time things have gotten delayed or not lived up to expectations.

This is straight from the source, a direct capture of the stream on PGI's channel. It's about as good as the quality will get.

HD of the launch, too funny , old Nintendo NES 8-bit would capture all its glory.

AMAZINGLY bad I have never seen a technically inept event in many years, and dat PP presentation LOL.

Here is a red dot (its a planet) here is another red dot with little black dots on it (thats another planet)... and ummm that' s community warfare.

Heres 3 blue dots thats like the MWO comunity in like stages...right?

2 years to make a horrifically bad Power Point presentation that my 9 yoa daughter could have done better (given an hour and the promise of a large ice-cream).

How these muppets still have a job is beyond me.

OMG...Russ says, "I can't imagine what the game will look like in a year" in the presentation intro. I have the answer! Based on the last year, a year from now it will look the same way it does now...
