I made no judgements on it. But if he takes such issue with Heffay suggesting the idea of a cash only cosmetic item (in this case a fish) then he might as well know that there are already cash only cosmetic items.

I was hoping that by ignoring him that he'd have time to realize his mistakes and correct himself, but sadly that just seemed to incense him even more.

I should have realized that though when he called me chicken. I guess the fault is mine. :)

To be fair, cold food is a legitimate thing to be pissed about. Unless it's pizza and you're hung over.

At least they are complaining about legitimate issues instead of stupid things like 3PV.

The most egregious thing was probably the fact you go from level 1-60. It's so arbitrary, and so Warcraft.

Have to unlock your Wolf Dragoon Prestige-Class, yo.

Until you do, Clan tech is MC only.

Reading this topic is hilarious and yet scary. You have people trying to get information because they missed the lauch event and then you have people who bash MWO in response to their questions.

I don't know about you guys, but you all need a hobby. Knitting, sewing or something along the lines might be good for you, might relax you even. If you don't like it so much, why don't you just let go instead of acting like a stalking ex-lover? Not sure about you, but if I REALLY don't like something, I tend to avoid it, only addicts keep coming back for more and then complain about it and then return for an other fix all the while complaining about how bad it is. Or crazy people. Move along, it's not hard. There's still people that enjoy the game and have hope for it. It's not your God-given mission to enlighten these folk with your doom and gloom (which is entierly rational because of a post-count and a founder tag, which makes you an authority...), it's none of your business. Move along and move on. If not, then try not to pee in other people's tea-cup. And if you absolutly have to be critical of the game, then do so in a constructive manner, because you all (and you know who you are) are passing off as the epynomous apocalypse touting nut on the street corner. And who ever listens to the cooks?

That is gold considering the cheers when the announcer of the event (some strange cowboy, who was that anyway??) said there was no 3pv today.

PGI 100% knows and understands why we are so pissed about 3pv, they just want that teenage cod/halo/bf/gta/consolegamer/casualangrybirdsgamer/icouldlistmorebutwont kind of money.

The big surprise is going to be a xbox one announcement..

See, I don't like 3PV but I do think it's not a bad move from PGIs and IGPs perspective.

I would love the game to be hard-core oriented, I really would. But how long will the game last without the influx of new blood? When the money stream dries up from the 100000 or so players, who've got every mech that they're intrested in, and got all the paint jobs they're intrested in, and got all the little things they could spend money on, where will their revenue come from? Sure, the game will be exactly what we want, but it will die very quickly after that. This way, there's new blood, new money and we get to play. I hate to quote Tokyo Drift, but 50% of something is better than 100% of nothing. 3PV might just be a necessary evil that we'll have to learn to live with if it brings in more people who will keep the game going.

You don't have to like it, but you have to acknowledge that it's about money, no matter the passion for the IP, without money, the servers shut down. Without profits, the servers will not stay up for long, so they need to open the game up to as many people as possible. Even if they're CoD kiddies. Just because they're CoD players doesn't mean they can't be converted into MWO players, that's our job, as a community, to make them want to be MWO players and not CoD players in an mechwarrior game.

When you stand around for 5 hours in a dark room with sore legs, surrounded by a crowd of people who apparently don't wear deodorant, and the announcer calls out DINNER TIME! to your empty stomach, and you walk over only to find three small platters of hot wings and something vaguely resembling "pizza"; and then you take a bite of that pizza; it's so bitter you spit it out and throw it in the trash, and then you bite the hot wings aaand...there's a frozen spot in the center, you can't help but be a little cheesed off, but the good news was that dinner was at 6 so at least we were only an hour away from the big exciting presenta-oh wait.

On top of that the attendees somehow managed to lose the tongs to grab the hotwings, so you had to gather them up with your hands, which meant there was a pretty high chance that someone had their grubby hands all over your food before you got to it.

No I understand all of that 100% it's just the player retention/attraction and players going dormant and the reason why we cant have split queues problems started thanks to primarily a lack of gamemodes and metagame.

Gamemodes and metagame first, 3pv and new types of players 2nd is the way development should of went, its been two years they have had the time.

Wow, he rips disabled vets, rich people and the mentally challenged all in half a sentence. What a classy guy! He is surely going to be a huge loss to the MWO community.

Being seriously honest here, I really expected more people to be watching the stream, I popped in a few times during the day and the number was going from around 1500-3000ish viewers and this is for the launch party after launch has happened.
