Actually I saw another PC gamer magazine with Thief on the cover and guess who wasn't in the top 100 for that issue?

they're not really #savingmwo if they are turning away potential players. But PGI didn't do a good job not pissng off the players. This is what happens to a F2P game, where they underestimate the players. So i can't say IGP/PGI didn't deserve something like this

I gave 7/10 to the game, 4/10 to PGI, mainly because of their laziness and stubbornness. My rating on Meta critic therefore was 7/10, as I thought MWO shouldn't be punished for PGI's management mistakes.

Does it deserve a 9? ehh, probably not. brutal honest it's a 6 for me. But at 150 characters, you either justify your post, or you don't. Meh, the game is about a 4/10 in my eyes so the current average score is fairly accurate if you ask me.

That said, the 0's and 10's are as bad as each other. And the idiots who try to take the moral highground about "trolls" posting 0 while admitting to posting 10 themselves are hilarious.

yeah i was just joking...too much effort...i would probably give it a 5...gameplay becomes stale pretty fast especially for being marketed as a "thinking man's shooter"

Better to just score it as you really feel. I gave it 5. Had the promised features been in for launch, even if not polished, I would have rated higher. But they failed to deliver on what was promised, things that should have been delivered in time for launch.

The UI needs work. That is already in the works as we speak, the Devs have shown us what it will look like, and it looks really good. Community warfare is not in the game as of yet. so there are things that need to be in this game to give it longevity, which gives me quite a bit of optimism

Game play look this game as Counter Strike with mechs for the moment. The mechs are balanced, and the weapons are very well balanced now. Technical issues have all but been resolved. As someone who has played this since closed beta it has come a very very long way. PGI has done quite a bit with the few resources they had. Well Done. 3rd person view is kinda meh... but you lose that 3rd person view in 12 man drops, which is where the competition is.

Visuals This is cry engine 3, so grab a decent video card. 660ti will be great for this. The mechs look great, and the maps are very well done. The textures look fantastic and the mechs really stand out. The terrains, and the environment, make you really feel as if you are there. I could use a little more on the immersion side, some of the panels in the mech are just for show.

Sound: Effects are good, I don't think the volume is very balanced. Some of the sounds are a little too in your face, however overall okay.

Longevity. This is where I'm docking the game. Currently there are zero long term goals. That will change soon-ish according to the Devs. Until then I'm perfectly content with blowing up myself and others until that time comes.

If you are new to the Mechwarrior franchise, or if you are just new to MWO, definitely give it a download. Its free there is nothing to lose. The game is not P2W in any sense. The only thing paying does is save you a little time, that's all. Jump in with us and blow each other to bits[/color]
