No, you donated to a cause that was going to build a refrigerator that you could later buy. You got a freezer instead. The reasonable thing to do would have been to stop playing months ago and just not paying any attention to the title.

gee, I guess I got scammed then?

Haha wow. I recognize like 90% of the names on there.

It's not like mwo has a silent majority of players, everyone who cares enough to rate the game, for good or ill, is going to be a forum posting founder. That speaks volumes about this games reach.

Cause and effect, you can't ban it forever. It is a shame that they allowed it to come to this, though it seems like they still don't quite understand it. If they were a vendor of mine they would have been replaced. Thankfully they are only responsible for making a video game.

I just wish they would take steps to correct this mess rather then stick their head in the sand and tout their great successes.

GTA V's budget was on the order of $200+ million, so why you're even beginning to make that comparison is confusing to say the least.

As to the video, why even get upset that they had someone in the community create it? I mean seriously, Celestial (SigmaLanceLeader) has been doing videos for a while and has done a pretty good job of them to boot. I think that was a pretty awesome way to say thank you for the effort he's put forth.

the vid is okay, I always find it silly when 12-15 mechs are going in a direction next to each other, shooting at god knows what, but oh well. I thought PGI would have done a real professional video themselves for their launch.

LOL all the loser trolls are hitting the game hard. 0 reviews? lmfao.

Not even reviews either. Just pure crying, "i didnt get weapon balance my way" or PGI didn't treat me right!

It'll be good for media attention if PGI simply highlights the obviousness of the trolls. Nevermind "Reviewing a game" within an hour of release.

Looks like I need more popcorn.

No, you're just bad with your money and now you're mad that you didn't think failure was possible. It's why commercials for investment have to remind you that investing comes with risk of loss. Welcome to crowdfunding, it's a roll of the dice. You ever wonder why no publisher would take their game?

we tried to help the dog get better. The thing is, the veterinary is actually a stressed out intern, and we're all people with pretty good knowledge of dog's anatomy (BT experts, gaming veterans). Yet, to every suggestion we give to the vet intern, he says: "NO, you're no vet and I know better, deal with what I'm gonna do with your dog and hope he'll get better, it cost 600$ btw".

You didn't speak to my point at all. I get that you're unhappy with the game: That's no reason for people to go out of their way to try to kill it.

edit: IGP changed the title from: "Meta critic reviews are in" to "Meta critic reviews are starting"

Seriously? That'll instill less confidence from the player base if they start censoring people with euphemisms. Bad form.

I came back after over a year just to post in this thread and rate MWO a 0 on metacritic. Had fun, would do again.

Oh, and how is that community warfare vaporware thingy coming along PGI? Oh, not at all? Well alright then.

So, MWO is officially an AAA Game. To keep this game running, the guys at PGI need to make money and more new players.
How do you get new players to a freshly launched game? With a trailer! Now please look at the following videos:

Star Citizen Trailer
GTA V Trailer (choose one!)

Just look at any Trailer for any "AAA" Game out there.

Then take a look at the open Beta Trailer of MWO. Take a look at out "launch trailer" again.

Do you realize something?

I'm pretty sure the game is just as reviewable after the orion becomes cbill purchasable as before. It's not like release actually DID anything to the game.

bear in mind that I did not give MWO a meta critic review. If I did, it would have been closer to 7/10, with most of the points loss due to no replayability, or lack of reasons to play more than a few games a day. Still, I look at games like MW4, MW2 and etc and MWO, being still riddled with bugs and bad hit detection, I miss the good old days.

Reading the reviews, all people are doing is giving a low score and complaining about the devs; not even rating the game itself. People are so juvenile.

the devs on twitter mock ppl asking serious qeastions. they deserve that. the devs are a problem, they are treating customers poorly, y should ppl not give the game a bad review. nothing has been really added content wise since CB. only content added is new mechs/ maps. most company could add that monthly then push out random new exciting content tri monthly.

Interesting how all the green scores except one are 10s. These people are in such incredible denial. Whatever you may think about the game or PGI, MWO is NOT a 10/10 game.

I'd guess at least a few of the greens are dummies.

well, fortunately for me I have enough discretionary revenues to be able to afford money loss on a F2P. Still, you can't expect me to think "oh well, better luck next time", right? That's still my money that I worked for and it's been misused by the people I've trusted my money to.
