The folks that are doing the grunt work at PGI. Not the Ekmans or Bullocks. The actual developers, sysadmins, artists.... The guys feeding their families. Just b/c u put in a few bucks does not make you a major player here. You think that owning a couple of shares of stock makes you a major player in a corporation?

A single negative review giving a zero ,so long as they include reasons, contains more honesty then every 10/10 that says "Ui 2.0 coming" or "Clans soon" "but but but CW is coming soon"

Review the game as it is, if you gave it more than a 7 (even that is a stretch) you need to look in a mirror before accusing negative reviewers of dishonesty.

I've seen far, far worse, especially from F2P titles. I'd judge a lot more if it was a game with an upfront purchase, but it was always known as a game that would be in active development past launch (just like World of Tanks, the closest game to the formula PGI is following). One of my favourite games is Sword of the Stars 2, and that game's launch was what unfinished actually means.

I didnt give it a 10. But i have just as much right to vote my opinion as you do.
I am just older and believe that beta means just that. I have had a good time, and am haply there is a mechwarrior/BT game here

I also remember that IT IS A GAME. It's not like I am rating a cardiac surgeon here.

Take a look at the top of the page, this is not a beta. PGI not me, not you, not the goons, not kong, decided this game was ready for launch, and therefore ready to be reviewed.

I don't dispute 7's so long as the poster backs it up, but when people post 10/10 because its a solid foundation? That is pure hog wash, I know it you know it and they know it.

they're neither a vocal minority nor entitled. they're trollish manipulators trying to 'open a dialogue' by force of rudimentary social engineering. and that sounds innocuous enough, until you look at the precedents in other games to get a full sense for what this means. most of the complaints don't have any specific, objective point.. they are meant to do one thing and one thing only, which is to emotionalise the issues as much as possible.

of course these guys don't really have the manpower for that, and the people enjoying the game are too busy actually playing that game to give a toss. if a greater part of the playerbase felt particularly concerned by this, you'd see reviews numbering in the thousands.

the whole thing looks like a parent demonstratively moving away and telling their toddler "I am leaving!" in order to quickly pressure the child into following along.

You asked for people that LIKE the game to review it. That's hardly fair or honest.

I don't think you understand how stocks work. A person who owns one stock is as entitled to hold the corporation to account as the person who owns a controlling share. If the corporation is caught lying then the shareholders are damn well within their rights to call in the feds.

Good thing this game isn't a corporation, and people didn't actually buy shares right?

I find the reviews ranging from 4-7 tend to be the most honest, and genuine. All the rest are people taking sides according to the "line in the sand."
