@Rogue Jedi:
Thank you very much :) Sparky seem to be exactly what I need, but sadly, getting MC in my country (Vietnam) is problematic. Nova S/Prime is good option too, but the price is sky-high, better get my CTF-1X to work

Also, JJ a side, how good is the CN9-AL ? which one make a better energy-based mech compared to HBK-4P ?

I think the hunchback is the better choice. It can boat more lasers. But the cent has missiles too and if you are good at using that shield arm you can survive longer.

Did they change the limit of Large Lasers you can fire before causing Ghost Heat from 2 to 3? I could have sworn I red that somewhere but in game, it still says firing more than 2 together will cause a heat spike?

Yes, three can be fired together now without penalty.

It is pinned in the Announcement section for now: http://mwomercs.com/...s-large-lasers/

You might be okay with Win 7, 32 bit, but running MWO depends on the rest of your rig's stats too.

Here is a Link for the Specs to run MWO: http://mwomercs.com/...specifications/

I used to run it on 32bit XP and it ran fine with 4GB of RAM, an ATI Radion HD 4870 and an AMD Athlon x3 2.7ghz CPU. so Windows 7 32bit should be fine, provided your PC is powerful enough

Are certain mechs more prone to getting stuck on things than others?

I'm having that problem quite a lot recently with my Crab and Raven.

Specifically Crimson's little air duct tank things near the saddle, and Viridian Bog's various fallen logs.

Different movement archetypes seem to be more prone to do so (personal experience, dunno if true) at certain maps and locations, I usually get sucked into the pillar under river city's plateau in the water with heavies only, never had that with any other movement archetype. Not sure if it's directly related to chassis.

Internal structure, Center/right/left torso.. if you take some damage from the rear, and then some front, (armor totally gone) that all counts as the same number right?

Hmm I wondering how fast the panther can get ? the stock with 64 kph is kinda weird for a light
Also, is it the smallest mech that can carry a ppc ?

Piloting a light with XL. Wouldn't it be smarter to pad my right torso (when I poke corners, my wps are right arm) with that 1 heat sink rather than put it in the engine slot? Increases the chance internals damage the heat sink instead of the engine?

I'm not sure engine crits do anything at the moment, and even if they did you are pretty much dead if something breaches your ST armor in most lights anyway.

http://mwo.smurfy-net.de/

click on the mech, and then play in the lab... But.. I know some spider pilots use them, and they are 30 tons..

A commando could do it but not room for much else and they are 25 tons..

in a slightly bigger mech at 40 tons, The cicada 3C is a good one for it. Serious rapid fire ER PPC sniping and has Quad machine gun back ups, (has room for a slightly bigger engine, i think can run an XL-320 for around 140kph if memory serves me correct

In fact, the cicada's are a really fun mech all around. They play like a heavy armored light, and with an XL300 engine run about 133KPH Running Dual PPC's in the ECM 3m,

Round it off with the 2B, and have yourself a 5 MPL brawler too! (considering 3 to elites)

yes, that is one viable option to help spread crits and weapon loss.

you can absolutely do that, I have had great fun with Standard engine Firestarters, people are horrified when they take out your side torso and realise you are still standing, however speed is usualy more useful than the ability to survive loosing a side torso

Most people will have serious trouble hittihg chosen componants on anything moving faster than about 130, in general I recomend an XL because the added speed and firepower more than makes up for the added vulnerability.

I loose a leg far more oftern than a side torso in a fast Light

panthers top speed is 127 with max engine (250) and speed tweek

the 20ton Locust is the smallest Mech able to mount a PPC (and the smallest Mech in the game) I do not think there is a single Mech in game which does not have at least 1 varient capable of mounting a PPC, I persionaly think it would be a waste of the Locusts capabilitys but the build below is viable

Engine crits don't destroy the engine.
It doesnt matter if the DHS is in the side or the CT - a crit in that location can hit the DHS and destroy it.
a single item in a section will have a higher chance to get crit (because its the only possibility) than if you have multiple items.
The engine slots count as seperate items each.

And there is another effect.
Each crit to a component will transfer 15% of the damage to the section.

The result might be that anything in the CT (including slotted DHS) are less likely to get destroyed than in an empty section.

EDIT: the only thing I'm not sure:
If your 3 XL slots in the side torso are destroyed, I'm not sure if they (if nothing else is in there) can still be crit and 15% damage transfered to internal structure. (not that it matters much with the low internal health anyway..)
