Short Question, Short Answer

1: Consumables. If I load them on my mech but not use them during a match they reserved? Or I lost one per every match just because I equipped them? I not care about the UAVs but cool shots seems usefull...
2: Someone know what kind of vehicles could be seen on the maps? Those looks like MFBs from MW3 but seemingly have many variations (they some heavy duty utility chassis)...
3: Only shot-down enemy UAVs count in events or friendly also plays (like teamkill)?
4: On testing grounds how many mech should be? I always got only 8 no matter how hard I scout and crawl around the map... Or it is intentional that the "training match" not ends when shot all the practice targets?

2. No idea. Seems to be generic scifi trucks and cars.
3. Only enemy.
4. 8. Intentional. Its a very simple testing place for stuff like your heat and ammo capacities. The Academy has a lot more interactive stuff in it.

Its hard to orient on it when you are under heavy fire, and you quickly check the bar - 80%, its ok, I can fire more, then mech insta shutdown for overheating.
Why is that ? is there a higher heat consumption when the bar hits 80+% ?
This is something we tend to refer to as the Heat Bug. Nobody knows for sure why it happens (even PGI), best guess is that it is some kind of desync between the state of your client and the state recorded by the server.

not exactly.
Fafnir, light engine, 2x rac2 + 2x LBX10 + 3ERML (medium lasers are chain fire).
Its definetly not on first overheating warning, mostly (IF) on 2nd or 3rd.
Its not on every situation. Sometimes i can fire next 10 seconds, even Im overheating at 100%. But sometimes my bar is around 80-85%, not firing at that moment (but overheating warning is present). I wanna start fire even the risk, but once i hit my fire buttons, mech shutdown.
Its not very often, but lets say I expirience this every 4th/5th game.
If you have an LFE or Clan XL engine and you lose your side torso, you loose a chunk of your max heat capacity with it. This can instantly take you from 80% heat to over 100%.

It's 8, but nothing happens when you kill them all. They're just practice targets. There is no win condition or time out in the testing grounds.

It does not affect PSR or tier and AFAIK isn't counted for jarls either since jarls list just pulls data from MWO quick play leaderboards and put them in a more useful format.

Unit membership is "permanent", in the sense that you will be a member of such group until you quit your membership. You membership will last even between your game sessions. Group members have a distinctive "tag" (those four letters or numbers) in front of their username.
Such units can exist for days, weeks, months or years ...
There is no burden for you, if you wish you can play solo as usual - you will just get that "tag".
Group invitation means that some other players offer you to play just a few games with them. It is just a matter of playing a few games in the evening or so.
Such "temporary" group exists until its commander disbands the group or logs off.
There is no burden for you, you can leave the group any time.

Well, the text chat is not ideal. However, unless your unit is a competetive one, it is usually sufficient to just follow other members of the group and target the same Mech your group targets. When you buy some headset, you will join the rest of the group on voice chat.

Heat bug is when the mech cannot cool down (bar stays high). There is a heat counter in the code (not talking about the bar). Only powering down for 0.5 sec helps. Somewhere deep in the forum is the explanation.

I think paint jobs are their main source of income. You wouldn’t believe how many times I’ve bought Tartan camo and a bagpipe war horn to go with it.

Sigh ... well in that case I have to bite the bullet and cough up some cash ... I can't bear to look at that default color scheme anymore

Oh and while I am at asking, it says 750MC for the pattern and then 1000MC for each color .. so in other words 3750 for a complete paint job ... for 1 chassis? yikes

Second, there are basic drab colours you can get with Cbills, but any colours you unlock are unlocked for all time, for all mechs.
