For bonus points (I haven't tested it recently but I haven't heard that it stopped working) you can target an artillery/airstrike on a UAV. The strike will hit the ground directly under the UAV. #forthelulz
Still works, the trick is to trigger the strike when you have the UAV aimed properly, (you need to see an actual range on your range finder, otherwise, the strike won't launch.
So aim correctly at the UAV, and your strike will land directly under it.

I've been playing a while, but one thing still confuses me. When you die and it gives a list of the most recent weapons to damage you, is the killing blow on the top or on the bottom?
Bottom.
Also of note: It never mentions how many of said weapon hit you. So it will say "Medium Laser" but for all you know that could have been 22 MLs hitting you.

Yes, your 'Mech is locked while in a match.
But you can queue up with another 'Mech, while another is locked.
But you should know, that you won't get rewards for the missed time of a match. E.g. you wont get CBills for assists of a 'Mech killed, after you leave.
To clarify:
The mech is locked in for that drop, but you can exit the match, and select another mech, and jump into another drop with that other mech.
You can do the same yourself Scoots, but since you own one mech, you'll just use trial mechs. Helps you farm more cash.
Another thing to clarify is that let's say you hit 5 mechs, and died after killing one of them. If you stay in the match, and the other 4 die, you will get rewards for the kill, and all 4 assists + all other rewards you are entitled to. If you quit the match immediately after dying, you'll get the rewards for the kill, and all other things you're entitled to, up to that point in time (so no 4 assists, because those happened after you quit the match).
It is a system that was implemented to prevent suicide farming (assists pay well, and so people used to jump into a mech, run into the enemy team, and tag each one with a laser hit, before dying, jump into another mech, and rinse-repeat, to make money that way).
