In competetive MWO do the players always know ahead of time which maps they are playing or are the maps still up for a vote?

I was just wondering if they used general all purpose mechs each match or if their builds are tailored with foreknowledge of which map they will be fighting on.

tournouments are usualy done in private matches, and yes, in the tournouments I partisipated in (admitidly this was in 2014) the players usualy know the rules, including maps, player numbers, tonnage limits and any other restrictions weeks ahead of time, and have to declair the roster (which would usualy include substitutes) ahead of time.

If I detect enemies for other LRM players and have Target Decay module, does it help them?

Adv. Target Decay affects the locks of the mech equipped with it. So, in your example, yes. If your mech has Adv. Target Decay equipped, your locks (even when shared) will benefit from it.

In reverse, it does not work. If the LRM mech who is sharing your lock for indirect fire has Adv. Target Decay, and you do not, it will not provide him (or you) with any benefits.

Hello.

I had two quick questions. What is a Kill most damage dealt? What is a savior kill?

Kill Most Damage Dealt is when you do more damage to a Mech than anyone else and that Mech is destroyed, you do not have to be the one to kill it. it does not require you to do a lot of damage to that Mech, if you do just one more point of damage than the other 11 players on your team that still counts as a KMDD
if you get both KMDD and the killing blow that is a solo kill

Savior Kill is when an enemy dies within 10 seconds of both doing damage to one of your team mates and receiving damage from you.

I always thought Savior Kill was when you shot at an enemy and they died (you do not have to be the one to land the killing blow) within a certain time frame of said enemy shooting at an ally who is under a certain level of health (considered near death).

I think it does. I get spot assist bonuses with a LRM boat and I'm fairly sure I get that even when I don't have line of fire to the target. That is when people fire LRMs on the same target and they dont' have the target decay module, so my module will keep their lock longer as well, for which I get those spot assits.

But lets say I'm 90% sure, not 100%.

Agree... I am pretty sure adv target decay helps whoever has an R on a target, LOS or not (because if you have LOS, what is the point). So if someone is spotting for me (spotter does not have adv target) but I do, I will keep that lock (provided I hit R and have adv target decay) for an extended time.

Adv target decay on a spotter helps indirectly, by allowing the spotter to keep lock longer... the boat's lock lasts the regular time (only so long as the spotter, which is extended).

There is no double-dipping of benefits if both mechs (spotter and boat) have adv target decay, because the bonus starts for both of them at the same time... they both end up having the same lock time, which is extended exactly once.

Faction Play - the Invasion side, no matter what game subtype, says that it has a "Base Payout" of 250,000 c-bills. Is that only on a win? I've played a few matches, under a Loyalist career, and only ever gotten a base payout of 25,000 c-bills.

Yes. If a mech you have damaged dies, no matter how he dies, it will count it as an assist for you.

Does anyone know what the c-bill cost will be for the Marauder IC?

It's clan battlemech assult so it's very comparable to Highlander IIC.

Notice the difference between XL and standard engine versions, and Marauder IIC comes with bigger engines so the cheaper ones would be about 10-11 million and maybe 13-14 million for the expensive XL versions.
