I find this thread amusing.
"PGI doesn't communicate anymore"!
So, in the past month, we've had a new map preview, 2 tests on the test server, including UI2.0, Paul discussing the hit box pass that he's been working on including naming the mechs that got the pass (comming this tuesday), and a dev post discussing why the next patch will be huge and why we're getting a free day of premium time (when they didn't have to). Clearly they've stopped talking to us!
"Stuff I bought over a year ago wasn't as nice as the stuff I got now!"
Prices change and things happen. This game likely doesn't happen without the founders, but complaining about things getting cheaper sounds more like sour grapes when it should be applauded for offering players more value for their buck. Sure, it would have been nice if the founders got more, but you also have had your stuff to play with for over a year.
"Things aren't balanced!"
Sure, but it takes time to balance things, and we're better balanced now than we were 6 months ago. It's not perfect, but I expect balance changes to keep trickling in slowly.
"I want Feature X"
Yeah, they've taken longer than most folks have expected with features, but they are trying to be open about them. UI2.0 had a test, and they layed out some pretty impressive plans for CW. I can understand folks getting tired if they've been waiting longer than I have, but it's not like the game's unplayable now.
"3PV!"
Lots of rage here. I think it's silly, and most folks I know who were initially pissed by 3PV have moved on with the anger and resumed playing (I know 1 player who quit over it).
"My friends are leaving"
People come and go. My unit has been recruiting like crazy and brought a bunch of fresh faces into the fold. Sure, we've lost a few, but the growth has been almost entirely positive. I might recommend making new friends?
Look, currently, MWO isn't costing you any more money than what you put into it to keep playing, so you can keep playing for "free" if you wish, or even take a break and not lose anything. But just because you're tiring of the game (and yes, it happens, folks tire of playing a game), doesn't mean the entire community is corroding. The state of the game is better than it was pre-"launch", even if it's far from perfect.
Sir, while I find optimism generally refreshing, I must respectfully argue that the game is becoming so stagnant as to drive away even the most ardent players. More so than that, I must take umbrage with your commentary on people "coming and going" to the game. "Make new friends?" Good Lord. Perhaps you might consider for a moment that you are one of the lucky few who still has a group to play with, or who manages to find people who care enough about the game to play with any sort of regularity? For a growing number of people, this is far from the reality they experience upon logging in.

<---- There's the door don't let it hit you on the way out. Features and additions get delayed in games all the time, if it really bothers you so much and if you and all your drop mates are so impatient that they're all leaving, go head and leave. Constantly bitching about it, while stating how terrible PGI is, and how greedy they are etc etc is neither constructive, nor is it that mature to begin with. Honestly you sound like a angsty teenager in most of your posts.
How far have we fallen as human beings when those of us who share a love of this game are now so openly hostile towards those who offer an opinion contrary to our own?
