That's not a Warhammer, that is the 70 ton Awesome at least what the torso should have been close to.

*sigh*

Indeed they are... ;)

But sadly.. oh, well.. we all know we'll probably never see the Warhammer and Marauder in this game..

S.

That was said about the Mechs in PP some time back.

Basically, yes. They will be nearly identical to the shadow hawk, but with different hardpoints, so just drive a SHD around for awhile to see if you like it.

There also looks to be a size difference so far, from the drawings the Saber Mechs look a bit beefier like football players while the SHD plays basketball.

Every Good thing PGI has done has been over shadowed and ground in by the public by every little thing they've done "wrong". PGI could give you the old "up yours" and make the game exactly how they see fit and the community no longer has a say in whats to become of mechwarrior online.

Who knows, maybe they'll have another package next summer.. with a marauder, you can spend your well saved christmas money on...

I think these forum icons are interesting for seeing who the whales in this game are. In this thread, for example, the Legendary founders often have Overload tier, while the elite/veteran founders always have one of the lesser priced Phoenix tiers or none at all. Also surprised to see the number of non-founders with Overlord - I guess they're mostly people who came to the game post Oct. 2012.

I was here in time to get the Founder's stuff, but with no track record etc, wasn't about to dump that kind of money on a game without a clue. Since then I see enough in this game to justify me getting the Overlord package (bought in stages, but whatever). Even if Bad Things Happen, I am having fun now, so that's what counts.

Also until The Dead Linger came along, I had never bought a game sight unseen. But those guys were cool and their vision for the game so neat I couldn't resist.

A Clan-pack could be a great Christmas self-gift for the players. Many would buy, including me. Many would buy for their beloved mechwarriors. Don't make it next year, please ;)

I'm picturing this being later than that. We'd be looking at February at the earliest. But I don't think there is a point of pre-introducing the clan mechs until after community warfare starts. A sale on the pack might start before then, but Feb's the earliest we'd possibly see it.

I've recently released my first vids using the phoenix mechs. I've been using them for some time before then, but I never actually released vids of them before last night/early this morning.

Click where it says youtube on the bottom right if you want to see it full screen.

Note: FOV 100, so what I see is not the same as what you'd see at other FOVs. (You'd see far less cockpit in a regular FOV).

Wish it lasted a bit longer, my 6yr old has been wanting new mechs and was hoping it would last till Christmas so I could get him a little bonus present that he wasn't looking for. Bought him the second package, as they both fast small mechs more to his liking.

Similar for me - could we please extend it to christmas? PGI could get some of that sweet christmas pie. And by pie, I of course mean dough.

And by dough, I'm pretty much just talking about cash.

Christmas is shopping season - and not everyone does their shopping on black friday! Especially for digital gifts, or for cash-as-a-gift. Rope in the Christmas cash! You won't regret it!

At the very least, get the gifting feature in UI 2.0 working for the next test of it. It'll give us a chance to gift through the test interface.

Rift did this gifting feature this year, and I couldn't believe I hadn't saw it done before! Rift has the in-game store done extremely well, btw - PGI should take a look at it, hint hint.

The ones who notice that the loyalty boost medallions included with the previous package deal still don't do anything. I'm very wary of splashing out more money when the features needed to fully use the package medallions (Community Warfare) has been pushed to 90 days after open beta, before luanch, in three phases over 2013, soon, 2014?.

The original phoenix package is still viable, and 2 variants of the package are already out.
I don't get why removing the saber package 2 weeks before anyone would know how they perform.
They could lock up the original phoenix package with the 4 mechs, but the reinforcements package should stay on for a litlle more.
Actually i'm not inclined to buy the reinforcement packs for 2 personal reasons: one i don't like laser/missile boats and one of the 2 (wolverine?) does not sport any ballistic slot and the other is because i'm not sure anymore that giving more money to PGI will bring a better product.

But if that package should be avaiable for a long time (maybe after some update like UI or Warfare) i could reconsider.

Wait, what?

I think you're forgetting the Awesome good sir.

That and the Atlas K and Stalker 4N.

Stalker 4N is just as good an energy boat as any of the other Stalkers barring the 5M CT slot.

It's missing 1 10 tube slot of every other Stalker (except the 20 tube 3H), it's short 2 missile spots on the 5M, and while it has 1 extra energy, it doesn't have the CT spot, it's missing the torso twist of the 3F, and the extra AMS of the 5S. It's inferior to every stalker model in some way with no benefits.

Sure, it's still a decent mech, But it's the worst stalker by far, making it very low on the desirability scale.

I agree, you are right, but if you just want to run it as energy only, it's only surpased by the 3F with more twist, the 5S with more AMS, and the 5M with one different placed energy position (to zombie with). But they all have the same number of slots for energy. I own the 3F, 5M, and 4N because I wanted to do something different than everyone else who were getting 3. If I could co back, I'd go totally different and buy the 5M, 3H, and 4N instead.

Too slow for a light mech...
The Panther is a good mech in TT because it mounts a PPC. In MWO, a Jenner can mount a PPC.

To Phoenix or not to Phoenix?

I just got some money I could spend on a Phoenix package by tomorrow, I would have to find someplace local selling Ultimate Game Cards to do it since I doubt they accept the gift cards that work like credit cards. I have used one of those once in another game, it was strange but I know some games do not take those.

My 24 hour debate is this.

I can only spend a limited amount. Guardian and Overlord are too expensive leaving either Storm for 6 Mechs but both are available for CB purchase or Talon + Saber for 9 Mechs.

Pros:
I get 2-3 Mechs with Unique Patterns (can colors be changed?), CB and Loyalty Boosts.
I get 1 Medallion if I get Storm.
I get 6 Mechs not seen until February / March from Saber.
According to Phoenix site, I get Hot Rod pattern for any of the 6-9.
I get 6-9 Mech Bays.

Cons:
Phoenix colors look very similar to PC Gamer colors and I have those already.
One pattern only for 2-3 Mechs just seems a waste.
I have already been running Locusts so it would be more for Hawks (available) or Saber Mechs.
Don't think I care about the medallion, I really have no faction preference.
I might be better off getting $30-$50 on the Black Friday sale for a first Hero Mech purchase and other colors, Bays and whatever then buying a Joystick for better play in MWO and other games.
Or I just wait for another Black Friday sale and see what sales come along after Phoenix is done.

Seems more 'buy something else' for me. If I only had the money ealrier.
