Oooh, they won't slash prices - they'd annoy everyone who bought in already.

They shouldnt slash prices. Instead they should upgrade the packages to include more premium time.

There is NO excuse for this to be a WORSE deal than Phoenix... especially at Christmas. We should be getting at least 12 mechs and 4 months premium for $80. Not 9 mechs and 1 month premium for $90. That's pathetic for a christmas sale, and whoever is marketing for IGP should be ashamed.

A unique Module, not module slot.

I need this answer in the FAQ.

What exactly do I get with the Gold Khan package?

I can tell you what you wont get. You wont get something that's worth $500.

Just because they do not answer your questions does not mean they also do not answer somebody else's. ;)

You're amazing. "Limited availability" IS meaningless marketing-speak in this case. If they don't show how many are remaining then that number can be anywhere from 1 to inifinity; and seeing as they've already started selling these things don't you think it would be important to let the true-believers know how many remain so they can get in on it?

Sorry, I have to call you out on this.

Limited Availability does not have to be defined for us to see. Stores all around the globe use this term, in conjunction with "While Supplies Last". While the latter doesn't apply here, but the former just means, they aren't going to make it unlimited supply. They don't need to tell you how many they are releasing, they just need to tell you that it can run out.

When you see a TV add for a certain product, and it says "Hurry, order now! Limited Availability!" They don't say "We have 20,231 units in stock."

Also, this whole arguing about the gold mechs... DOESN'T MATTER! If you're not gonna buy it, why worry about it? If you are going to buy it, I'm glad that you have that much money to burn, lol. I don't have the money, or the will to buy a Gold plated mech.

All you guys complaining about the gold mechs and all are kind of like victims of **** complaining that he used the wrong kind of lube. Take a step back and look at the big picture. Gold mechs are an eyesore, but they aren't the problem. THE problem is that they keep trying to sell us bells and whistles without any product to which we'll attach them later on. The fear is that the bells and whistles are ALL we're ever going to have. Granted, they're pretty and shiney, but they're not what keeps my attention.

Source?

If you are talking about the "Unique Module", i think its more like a autorefill Airstrike, at least no Slot.

I am having real trouble understanding how PGI is running their business. A pre-sale of the single most important expected content of the game (the clans) should be planned a bit more carefully, and it should be a joy to the developers and the community both.

It should also be easy to understand what one is getting (please see Star Citizen as an example of how they manage to explain each ship's qualities even though its still not designed or implemented).

This sale is not easy to understand, every element of it is undefined: module, warhorn, mechs (omni? hardpoint? just like an IS mech?), technology?

PGI -- why try to start a sale, perhaps the most important sale ever for you guys, without helping us understand what it is you want us to buy?

I'm considering getting this, I like the mechs, they look awesome, and all the other jazz.

Everyone upset about CW/Clans/UI2.0, Keep in mind the clan mechs won't come until JUNE. First phase of CW is on target (From all indications that I've see/read) for JANUARY. So, while I get that you're all astonished that they announced the clan mechs now.

Also, think about what you're getting:for $240, 24 mechs and mech bays, 90 days of premium time, Signed Digital art (Woo? I think), and those other miscellaneous items.

Doing the math, that'd add up to 7200 (Mech bays) + 7500 (Premium time) = 14700MC which is around $75 (12000 and 3000 pack). That leaves the mechs at $6.875 with all the other goodies (Whatever they are).

So, its a good deal for us, as the MC price per mech will be higher, I'm sure. Also, its good for PGI as they can work on developing the things we want.

However, I do see that the initial cost is alot, but hey, guess what, you can upgrade your packs! So buy a smaller one fore now, and upgrade it when you get the money. Or you can do what I'm doing, and wait to see what these mechs will actually be before fully deciding.

Anyways, just my two cents. = D

Im pretty sure we already passed the target, as UI2.0 was supoose to be out in OCT/NOW with CW supposidly starting in DEC.... I could be wrong but im pretty sure they said that somewhere in the forum.

I said Phase 1, not full CW. = P But still, its there, it might not be total, and exactly what we want, but its there in some form none-the-less.

Also, Skirmish mode is this coming Tuesday, if I remember right. = D
Let me fix that for you:

Yes, they pushed back UI2.0 because they found major bugs in it, which is why it was released in a beta testing ground. Would you rather them release it, and fail like Aliens Colonial Marines, with endless bugs making it unusable? I don't think so.

Oh, is it by the End of the year? O_o I thought I read in Jan. lol

It is a simple deal for me. They want a lot of money and have a lot of time (6 months) to convince me.
After Christmas I will get a Nova package because that is what I want no matter what. Anything more is up to PGI. They add features, I purchase one 30 bucks upgrade. UI 2.0 implemented in possibly crude yet mostly functional way? I get a Summoner package (I hate that mech BTW, never udenrstood why it was any good). CW phase 1 and 2 implemented? I get Dire Wolf package. They fix UI 2.0? I buy Adder pack. And if they do exceptionally well or release CW phase 3 I will get a Stormcrow package because I rather like the Mech and I think doing good job should be properly rewarded.
If any of these functionalities isn't met I just won't buy a higher package, simple as that. I must admit the game is much more fun than it was a year ago (or even 6 month ago) but now is the time to add features and metagame. If they deliver then I buy and will be a happy customer.
No hard feelings for PGI asking for a lot of money, this is probably the only time they have a chance to truly cash the community for something very important and iconic. And who knows? If things go well in those 6 months the deal may look like a great one after all. We've yet to see.

Okay PGI. My nerdrage from yesterday is under control, not gone, just under control. I want to say I understand why your are having this sale, you need the money to keep operating and to keep on making the game. What I don't understand is your decision behind the pricing moddel. Now I know that the price is basically $10 per mech or $30 per tier. That is fine, it's a reasonable price for three mechs

The problem I have with this is that the one mech I want, the Timber Wolf, is gated behind a $210 dollar package with a whole bunch of other mechs that I don't want. Why can't we have a simple package system where we pick the package that we want for $30 and have a tier system with bonus content for purchasing multiple packages. Give us that choice.
