I know there will be tremendous possible loadouts, but if they will finally make burst-firing autocannons it will be less scary than it would be otherwise.

Weapons and technology that exist to the IS and Comstar as of 3050 have been excluded from the game (e.g. MASC, snub-nosed PPC, Arrow IV), because it does not work well in an FPS, or is not possible with the current game engine, or cannot be balanced. There are a number of reasons that a weapon or item may be excluded from MWO.

They may be delayed. They may never arrive. For the longevity of the game, game breaking imbalances are not going to get introduced if PGI has any sense whats so ever.

That being said, given their intent to "level" the field with flavor changes rather than TT stats means we might well see the UAC20 before too long. I certainly hope so at any rate

I like the clan pack and i don't mind that they are introducing it before CW. But PGI man you have to lower those prices. For 500 bucks i can buy a brand new Xboxone. No one is going to pay that much for a gold mech (unless they have a lot of money to spend). The a la carte is nice but still that is 55 bucks! I can buy a new video game for 55 bucks. PGI needs to bring it down to at least a manageable 10-15 bucks. GAnd whats the deal with discriminating against heaver mechs by making them more expensive? With the cost of those mechs there will be no clan invasion because no one will play a clan mech.

Even if you don't get the 500 dollar gold mech, just getting the Warhawk pack will save you more in the long run than any pack before.

If you min max both of them then there is very little difference.

If the canon variants applied without customisation the Summoner can be a very tough customer.

Just think how cool the Summoner would of be if the JJs were NOT fixed.

Don't forget customer expectations. Believe it or not, there were plenty of MW games that got it right long before MWO was even a thing. I'd say that keeping MW4 in mind here is a good thing, simply because it is one of the more rounded, but most of all, "complete" products. It may look dated, but it is mechanically very robust with quite a lot of content.

The odd thing about the series were the original MW4 Mech packs (both Clan and IS) back in the days. Hideously expensive at the time, but still rather cheap compared to what we have to cough up for Mech packs in MWO. It's all about perspective, heh.

Well, actually no.. But there might be more spheroids with Clan OmniMechs than Clansmen..

While my 2 Chasis have yet to be added (Mad Dog and Hellbringer) I already purchased the Dire Wolf package to ensure I have a balanced mech bay. I'm a huge fan of the Summoner and Kit Fox, and while I don't run Assaults at the moment, The Dire Wolf is too much pain to pass up. The Nova is a bonus that I'll most likely never use. Will probably just keep the Prime variant for C-Bill farming and use the mech bays for other things.

Remember, once you master your prime and alternate variants, you will be able to swap hardpoints between them, so you may want to keep all of your clan mechs.

I understood that you will be able to buy OmniPods separately meaning that you do not have to own all the variants to swap hardpoints. I hope so, otherwise you should have started saving c-bills a year ago (i do not even hope anymore for dedicated currency).
