The more I read this, the more I think I'm playing this with a completely different philosophy from most folks here. I painted my Locusts a brilliant neon green so that the enemy can see me from miles away, I frequently fight other lights and more often than not win by a significant margin, and believe that there should be an easier way to engage in zellbrigen duels. I believe that the fun of the game is the most important aspect of it, and that there is a significant amount to be had in forming a sort of persona to play as. I admit that I am a nerd, and welcome discussions of lore (at least pre-word of blake

) and feel that lore should play a large role in the development and balancing of the game. I know the game isn't perfect in any way shape or form, yet I forgive it its flaws even as I hope for improvements. I have a certain degree of faith in PGI, in that I feel that they've managed to deliver a solid product on a fairly small budget and I suspect that their willingness to listen to the customer is only going to improve as both game and company age. This faith is reflected in the fact that I have finally begun to allocate budget toward purchases of the things they are selling, notably the peanut butter Locust and some of the coming resistance mechs.
I'd like to see many things for the future, but I think that the foremost thing I'd like to see is an improvement in terms of new player experience. I want to play this game with my RL friends, not just hardened veterans of countless battles that take the game more like an e-sport than an RPG, and that's pretty nearly impossible with the way group queue currently works. I'd also really like to see the coding done to allow MASC and higher maximum engine speeds. I have fond memories of a Fire Moth I experimented with in MW2 with nothing but a flamer, a big engine, and MASC that accidentally ran directly into the first enemy it encountered and exploded. I'd like to see melee weapons implemented in the future, as they were a significant part of Inner Sphere tactics. I'd like to see more game modes, particularly a non-team deathmatch-style free-for-all along Solaris lines, or perhaps from a more clan-like point of view, the Grand Melee used to determine the 32nd entrant to a Bloodname trial. For that matter, I'd very much like to see a duel mode with smaller arenas geared toward 1v1 combat at some point.

tl;dr: I'm silly, great game, hopefully more to come, and suggestions. Stay positive.
