I have a little request, it would be nice if you could display current time somehwere.

More convenient than ALT-TAB to desktop.

Unfortunately the much awaited UI 2.0 is a huge disappointment to me. I much prefer the previous interface. The new one is terribly clunky, non-intuitive, not helpful and generally pisses me off. I seriously hope you get a better interface because frankly the new one sucks big unmentionable items of horses anatomy,

Like seriously - i pick the freaking mech and it does not even tell me what modules are equipped???? what a huge step back from the previous interface - FAIL.

I am so glad i did not drop $240 on the clan mech invasion because i almost did. :(

I have an issue with the Skills Tree (for Mechs) I really hope isn't permenant. I have a few classes of mech, Jenner for example, where I once owned 3 Jenners so I could level up to Elite class in that variant. Then, I sold two of them and kept my favorite. I don't do this anymore but I even did it with an Atlas I payed MC for. I can not access the Mech Tree's of the variants I sold. In the case of the Atlas, I am in the process of getting all my basics on a second Atlas, with the intention of buying a third one soon. I will only actually still own 2 Atlas. I know this worked in the old UI because I did this type of transaction in my Hunchback variant exactly this way. Am I going to have to re-buy the one Atlas I sold, but already finished all the BASIC leveling but sold, or is this an issue that will be fixed?

I appologize, I actually posted this somewhere else as well, however no resuts yet.

Another small problem I ran into: I went into the inventory tab and sold some CASE I had lying around. After selling them, they remained in my inventory screen until I changed to a different screen and then went back.

It was a little confusing because it looked like I had maybe clicked on something wrong and they hadn't sold, but I couldn't click on them when I tried.

I need my ready list of mechs. I have been using the 4-square of ready mech space to keep track of my modules and cockpit items. Do you guys even play your own game? Do you know how hard it is to find my 4 mechs with modules and cockpit items equipped now that I own 90 mechs? Its a PITA. It's such a PITA that I have had to track down and unequip all modules and cockpit items just so I can keep track of them. My mechbay is now LESS ORGANIZED than before.

How am I supposed to drink booze and mech at the same time if I can't rely on the interface to be my memory for where I put my modules and cockpit items? I will wake up with no memory of dusting off an old mech and stuffing it with millions of cbills of modules and a couple thousand MC in cockpit items and then be forced to manually search through 90 mechs to find my items the next day. I feel hung-over just thinking about it.

I won't be buying any more cockpit items if they remain so difficult to manage. When I pay for stuff with real money I have a need to know where my stuff is or I get upset. You have made an interface that is so difficult to interpret based on my use of UI1.5 for almost 6000 matches that I am now upset. The new interface may as well be in a foreign language because I am having a hard time understanding it and getting it to do what I want.

Oh yeah.... the checkout button to save a mech configuration is stupid and only makes you guys look like the cash-grabbing group of incompetents that the forums so often make you out to be. It's both confusing and off-putting.... please fix it.

Flash sale for the X-5 is awesome! That's what I got for positivity.

Hey great joke! ok so where is the better "UI" ? where is :
the thing telling me how many heat sinks my mech has?
the button to return all my Mods (cant find them ? too many mechs do i have to spend 3 days to find them?)
the button to return cockpit Items (read about mods above)

really all you gave us is full screen extra heavy learning curve , i dont see anything making the game better????
its just harder , clunkieer , and more time wasted looking for stuff and trying to figure if Im ready to drop , did you guys set out to make the game worse ? because it is pure CR*P! nothing is better , nothing new but the way things look and its even more confusing for the new players,

YUCK, god I have to start wearing my reading glasses to select and modify my mechs. Mechlab is way more complicated this way, and the font is too tiny. How do I change the loading/mechlab/etc screen back to a window while leaving gameplay still at full screen like it was before? I liked having other things in the background while I tinkered with my builds.

navigating in/out of weapons config/equip menus is terrible.

group menu is horrendous.

very difficult and time consuming to find modules/weapons installed on other mechs, remove them, then re-equip them on your present mech.

weapon/module names are too small, icons are non-descriptive

cant easily tell what my weapons load out is or how may sinks my mech has etc.

non-intuitive ready-up sequence if in a group

when editing a mech you have to hit back/back/back after the save, before you can ready up for launch.

I'll give this UI a 2/10 for ease of use and intuitiveness, there is a road map of Mechwarrior games stretching from Mechwarrior 2 to present with decent mech labs and menu systems, no need to reinvent the wheel here.

why are my mechs not grouped by chassis type? Why does it show Battlemaster/Battlemaster/jenner/raven/Battlemaster etc?

why are the trial/champion mechs shown in my "owned" mech inventory? give the SELL SELL SELL a break guys, if I want a new mech/weapon/module I'll go buy one, don't present purchase items as my first option in any UI view.

Lose the checkout button on exit from the mechlab, really guys? It's not an ecommerce shopping cart, its a mech configuration tool.

Very disappointed with this UI as a whole, not better than UI 1.0 in any way.

eta: I've been gaming online since MPlayer with a 36k modem and I work in IT, I'm clicking around in this UI saying "what am I supposed to do here to get what I want", that is a very bad sign.

eta2: and all of my premium time is gone, showing 0/0/0 on the counter, 3-4 months I was saving for clan warfare. Theres a fix coming for this right?

constantly selecting game modes is very ANNOYING.

why the hell didnt someone keep it the same way as 1.5? it wasn't broke and i wonder if the person is special ed.... as in failure to read....

Artemis "upgrade" now requires you to repurchase all your launchers and ammo. So different load-outs are no longer available unless you spend the $millions in c-bills again.

Unfortunately, this is not the answer you will want to hear/read:
http://mwomercs.com/...ork-to-artemis/

This was added into UI 2.0, but it got lost in the shuffle.

Finding a module on a mech... somewhere.. is a PITA

Font is too small. Hard to read. Between it and the film grain/blurriness/scratches I swear you're trying to make everyone blind. WHY does this get worse every patch?

It's not easier to see and select a mech in a grid when they all look nearly the same.

I would suggest making the mech lab a windowed mode option while still being able to run game full screen.
I look forward to the smurfy-like adjustment

Overall I'd say this is the best patch in a while. One more thing, it would be nice to be able to mess in mechlab, etc. without having to ready up oh and having to reset match type every single time

I'm starting to wonder how many pages of rage will be required before we get a mildly insulting "apology" post from the guys in charge of this disaster fest.

At least they put out a few "communication" posts BEFORE the massive disappointment. That's a minor improvement.

This isnt beta.

why are we beta testing. if it wasnt ready it should have stayed on the test realm.

Only thing i can figure is the screws are on from IGP, and PGI is looking at what happened to the MWT team. i.e. they were replaced. Thats about the only logical explanation i can come up with for pushing something that is clearly unfinished onto the live server to meet an arbitrary date that players would have mostly disregarded anyway as "highly optimistic".

What a mess. A user interface is supposed to be intuitive, it is supposed to make things easy. You have managed to make everything harder.

As an engineer who has been using CAD software for over a decade, I can tell you that you have made one of the most fundamental mistakes one can make when it come to a UI. The more mouse clicks you have to make, the less efficient and also less intuitive a UI becomes. Everything is buried in sub-menus, there is unnecessary info everywhere (champion mech mixed with owned mechs, non owned mechs are listed with owned mechs in pilot trees to name a couple examples), the inventory and mech list is random (mechs are shuffled around), and there is no way for me (the user) to organize things they way I want. These are just a few of the major issues with UI 2.0, which is really worrisome considering how highly you have spoken of it.

Stop making things "pretty" and make things functional.

Edit: also, complicated does not equal innovative/intelligent.

I was having trouble seeing the stats for weapons and equipment, not sure if I missed something or not. Seeing the hardpoints on a mech like in the old system would be nice. Seeing loadout would be nice, also seeing how many empty spaces are left on my mech's, like in the old system. Thanks, the system will take a lot of getting used to but looks great overall.

ding ding ding

But will they get it? I doubt they are even paying attention. UI2.0 is supposed to be "glorious" after all.

Contact me once you've fixed this mess.

I played one match like this, and I just can't do it.
I'm not going to spend half my (already very little) available time learning how to navigate this un-intuitive un-readable mess.
I didn't need my reading glasses before and I'm not going to spend the night putting them on and taking them off between matches.

I really like a lot of the additions in the new UI, and can see that of course there's some room for improvement. But overall, nice work, as I think of any additional suggestions that might come to mind I'll add them here.

One odd thing I noticed, that I don't know that I'd call "UI-Breaking" per se, is that my stock JM6-S has the AC/5 in the bottom slot on the left arm with the AC/2 in the top slot, but on the right arm it's reversed. Looks a bit odd, and when I tried to fix it in the mechlab, the fix didn't take, and it just swapped right back to it. The only downside possibly is that barrel placement in the way it interacts with terrain may impede group firing of the two like-sized ACs together perhaps, but I haven't field tested it to see if that's an actual issue or not.

Just odd anyhow.

Things:

Ability to check multiple game types (I like Assault AND Conquest)
Find function - help me find where that 300XL is, where that AC20 is.
Full loadout popup on the mouse over. Modules, weapons, engine size/type.
It seems 7 and 5 are smaller numbers than the other numbers.
Caching the chats. Please allow caching of the chats. I can't find the timing to send the chats the microsecond when friends are not playing. I want to leave a message at the "beep" for them to see later.

Likes:
Chat is nice. New mech listing is nice.

You know who makes intuitive UI - the Roku folks. Smooth.
