In my direwolf hitting people in the base near moron mountain in alpine peaks. start getting hit from behind and through turning i see it is a light mech. The Jester next to me (i am talking like 10-20 meters away) is look right at me with this light zippin around... what does he do? turns around and walks away... not even a single shot on the light. Just walks away leaving me to die of course to the light mech.
It is people like that who make me itch to alpha them in the back.... or maybe leg them and leave them to die in a match.

I've really had enough of them past 2 days.
Just sold 4 Atlases. Getting so sick of taking lrm fire every time I dare to stop hiding to shoot at someone. I've had more then my share of lrm heavy games and it's made me stop playing Atlases.
What's the point of playing when it's no fun?
Fun for the guy who is sat 600m away behind the mountain spamming LMB sure.
"cover is op" yes it is, IF you are JUST thinking about the lrm mech that's shooting at you. He/she DOES have team mates. It's about time something was done. You need to be able to move from cover to cover without taking an lrm storm. My twin AMs on my Atlas K is juts useless. It simply doesn't shoot enough missiles down.

Example I have had great Terra Derpa Pug matches where we can hold the Circle of Doom or where we can take it over. or the circle around zerg rush, if someone types something "hey lets go here?" "or we should do this instead" is better than "Thats a bad plan!!" and the person saying "that is a bad plan!" did not offer any plan of their own to begin with and goes off on their own with one other person and does not help any one out then talk smack about how we are a horrible team...
That would make me angry D: I rather die with the team and try then just go off on my own prolong the battle and be useless and put everyone down..

NARC'd targets =/= a wide open target at times.
You've got to remember, that their missles have to actually hit the bloody mech in order for your NARC to be effective. If the NARC'd target actually finds a solid piece of cover, they can just sit there & weather out the missile storm. & once the boats realize that their LRMs aren't connecting to a NARC'd mech, common sense denotes them to find someone else to let loose at.
My 2 cents.

If running an LRM boat, I will generally give priority to NARC'd targets. However, if I get no results on the first salvo or two, I figure he's made it to cover and look for others.
Please keep in mind also, that max range on LRMs is 1000 meters. I can't count how many times I've dropped with PUG lights that dash off from the main body and start NARCing away without realizing that all the LRM mechs are over max range and have no ability to hit the targets they're designating.

Im talking about the LRM boats who dont know what a narc is (more then there should be, WAY MORE THEN THERE SHOULD BE!).

Simple solution is to take whichever inner sphere loadouts you're good with and replicate it in the Timby. It's extremely versatile. (Tho, if your choice was slow, deliberate ACs, the closest translation is CERPPC and/or gauss.)
Oh, and also a relevant whine: Argh, standard speed of combat has risen all the way up to 89.1 kph. Excepting for odd drops of the like of 6 direwolves + 2 atlases, and that's often not a good thing~

People getting kills they shouldn't because of hit registration. Had a Timberwolf and an Adder gank my badly hurt Trebuchet 3C on river city. A prolonged and enjoyable fight ensues. I finally nail the Timberwolf after he takes a humongus amount of damage to his cherry red CT....only to find myself in a circle of death with the adder. Okay I thought here goes he only has his flamer left.....it went well until he stopped taking damage. Over ten twin medium lasers hits did NOTHING. He even took 2 twin SRM6 volleys before I ran dry of ammo. About 3-4 further medium pulse laser hits.......his armour is STILL orange just as when we started....he finally gets the kill with me scratching my head on how an adder can take so much damage and live?
A few games before that a Cataphract manages a similar feat of strength, he took THREE full x3 medium laser, 1 medium pulse laser and twin SRM6 alphas with no damage done....watched him get shot by a team mate from his cockpit to same effect-o damage recieved.
Both these occasions allowed the respective pilots kills they should not have gotten.
Do you think it's a connection issue or something? Because my hits on my screen were accurate, got hit effect but on the Cata, flashing paper doll but no damage. On the adder my paper doll didn't even flash yet hits were square on RT.
