Once would be nice

Once again then, and stop asking: The 3 big leagues represent over 50 organized units consisting of over 4000 active players.

So, how many Marik members quit specifically because they couldn't deal with group size limits? Even you haven't quit because of those limits. Sandpit is still throwing money at the game despite those limits. Like I said, maybe *2* people, and that's rounding up (which I have to, because it sure doesn't include you and Sandpit).

Data please, I can pull numbers out of my ass too. And how many of those numbers are redundant? Like I assume that you play in all 3, so that means you're really just 1 person, not 3.

(sorry, just holding you to the same standard that you hold everyone else. Annoying isn't it?)

Sorry, I spent a lot of time collating that information. I consider it highly valuable proprietary data. You can use the available sources out there to validate the numbers yourself, but that's up to you.

So essentially, you've done nothing.

Your argument is a classic pseudoscientific one, rather than scientific. You wish a case to be made without providing data. You say the conclusion is obvious if you just spend the time yourself.

DRINK THE COOLAID!

Or you could just repost the data. If it's actually been posted before that's, what, 1 minute extra of your time? Or even just a link? And more than just Roadbeer would like see it.

LOL, awww puddin. I'm sharing my data with you.

You said my screen-shot of Marik population on the website and TeamSpeak was just a snap-shot in time and not representative to the truth, so for the last 10 days, and for the 2 weeks following the release of the Launch Module, I've been entering data into a database with 8 daily samplings of the TeamSpeak population.

The data is collected relative to peak times in EU and the 4 US time zones as well as our daily website traffic, Even making notations of 'unique' events like our TS server being moved to a new data center, etc.

The least you could do is a little math. Unless, that is, you find math hard.

I would point out that this wonderful spreadsheet of MCW only lists 321 active participants. So unless the other leagues are WAY bigger your '4000 active players' seems a bit...stretched.

My numbers are based off the active sizes of the participating units, not just the players involved in the drops. The units represent far more people, which accounts for the discrepancies you think you see.

My comment was pretty clear on that.

I feel, and i'm going out on a limb, but I feel that this is yet another over complicated band-aid and not in fact a solution to the core issue.

That issue being I have more than 3 friends, but not always exactly 11.

Now i am not going to go around disposing of friends to meet an arbitrary limit set by a match maker, nor do i feel i should need to make friends in multiples of prime numbers. Making this worse is the 3/3/3/3 band-aid which as was admitted makes this all even harder. so I'm likely going to repeat something someone else already said but look I have a not complicated solution.

Private matches + 2 queues:

Queue 1 - solo only (we'll call the the sad lonely antisocial queue)
Queue 2 - everyone else including adventurous solo's and people with between 4 and 10 friends. (we'll call this the Fun queue)

you see on the one hand you give the people who don't like groups a place to hide from the 'pre-made' boogie man and on the other you have an opt in queue where every one for 1-12 player groups can all play together regardless of how many friends they have. And then no one can really complain because you have to opt in to the queue with groups. I know i'll see things like "I use team work but any one using more teamwork than me is OP" but i will also ignore those people.

Boil it down, stop reinventing the wheel, and if you are gonna reinvent the wheel, just make sure it is actually circular when you are done.

RHOD has 367 members on it's website, with 16 teams, comprising of 12 each makes for 184, and we'll call the rest of the people signed up "alternates" so... adding that to your numbers, That'd be 688, assuming there isn't overflow between the 2 leagues.

Now enters the "Fuzzy Math", like what was used to give the Affordable Care Act the mysterious 7.1 million sign ups it needed by X date to be considered a "success"

So if I played in MCW you would be able to add the 1k membership of the FWLM to your numbers? Sounds fair.

But I guess you have to justify PGI dedicating their resources to create a playground for the 1000 members (assuming no crossovers) who do league drops, instead of the other 1.6 million registered players.

Edited for bad grammar.

Also something else is bothering me.

If there are so very many people who only play solo, why let 4 mans drop into the solo/pug queue? It would seem to me that the solo queue wouldn't need the numbers from the groups so why include them?

Woah woah, how do you get to claim the 1.6 million registered players as people who support your solution, instead of the solution put forth by PGI in this thread?

Because that is the way it is set up? 1 team per side, limit up to 4. If you want larger groups, set up private matches to support your needs.

All coming next Tuesday. Everyone gets exactly what they want, except a small group of malcontents who are going all Tea Party on us and refuse to accept anything but 100% of exactly what they demand.

I am not saying anything about solutions. I am merely pointing out that 1000 players have convinced PGI that they need the resources to create private run leagues, which PGI seems willing to put their support behind. The rest of the registered players do not participate in these leagues, but drop either solo or in small groups. We would like PGI to create the ques we requested as well.

Keep in mind that the launch module is not *just* for private matches. It is also the foundation for CW, which *every* player will be able to participate in and affect the IS. That is its true purpose; the private matches are just a neat bonus feature.

Wouldn't a group of 1000 players demanding the ability to run private leagues be considered a 'small group of malcontents' as well?

The rest of the 1,599,000 players would like some neat bonus features as well.

Nice try, but your example isn't an ad hominem. It was a parallelism.
