Teamwork is OP bro- you can take any combinations of mechs you want in this game, give the other side the exact same mechs...if one side is using voice comms and teamwork, the other side w/out teamwork is pretty much always going to lose, and worse, probably going to get facerolled. If you want to make excuses for why you only play PUGs, fine... but don't expect me to buy them- because it totally is not hard to download and use Teamspeak, and it is equally not hard to join a house/guild/clan either...not even for a newbie- shoot, my house has weekly classes they run for newbies to help them learn different aspects of the game.
Remind me again, what are the benefits to being a "Lone Wolf"? I get to listen to music instead of communicating effectively on voice comms, and get to rant with righteous indignation about losing to "pre-mades" on the forums?
This Teamwork is OP bull nonsense is just pure rubbish, all mech games have had some form of team work even in the old single player games you still had a team mate (bot lance) with you. Our clan welcomes new players when we are on the public servers, tips on styles of game play, tactics, loadouts, first mech to buy when out of cadet school and mechs to avoid untill they have the skills to run them, clan members would often drop out to let new players hone skills with veteran players. When sync dropping was the best way to drop with more than just four of your friends, we even did that but now sync dropping is more luck than a definite drop but now we just dont bother and just let the match maker decide and now and then it happens through that even if we are on opposing sides. But the fact remains the same in all mechtek teamwork is a must and that means communication between players which is very much lacking outside of a group of four/sync drop, unless you happen to be an octopus that can type, shoot and pilot your mech while in a fire-fight, which you cant, (another dumb fault about the game). Teamspeak is free, very easy to use, loads of servers for mechwarrior with tons of helpful advice. If you keep getting stomped by vets in game, dont try and beat them by crying on here, join them, mechwarrior will never be a single player FPS, if you want that then go play CoD.
Oh I also forgot to mention that we are even to this day trying to get friends to play, the accounts have been set up but do you think that we will let them drop as pugs, what, are you mental?, not on your nelly will we, they will be in our cadet school, not dropping as pugs or as I now like to call them, the 84%ers....
