Those who fail to learn from History are doomed to repeat it.

It's 2014, what could we possibly have to learn from 1936... DERP

glad you used that quote. PGI was learned well from 2012-2013. Thats why in 2014 they have hit everything in they set out to do. The good thing is they can still be improved even after release.

like i said, 2012vs2014. I cant see how you can be mad at missed dates from years ago but ignore the progress/dates this year that they hit. It just doesn't make any sense.

UI 2.0,why are we talking about 1.5,+ they are making an interactive version. That is a really lame attitude to have. Would it matter if CW comes out?, you guys are still gonna be talking about 2012-13.

You're right - I'll admit they have met the dates put out this year so far. They had to. They were becoming a joke based on the previous two years.

So you're right - good on them for finally showing some integrity.
See? I'm quite willing to admit that if you can admit the reputation they created for themselves.

But if you're the type of person who turns a blind eye to past misdeeds cos of current fluff over your eyes, meh, who am I to burst your bubble.

why dont you qoute the whole last paragraph

1 - I was answering that part of the question. It doesn't really change out of context. Yes, CW matters and yes it would, at the very least, be one less years old promise people could no longer point to as one of PGI's failings.

2 - I don't like to waste space plastering giant walls of text quoted from the same page. This is actually a thing you're supposed to do. Seriously, chill. Not everyone is out to get you and your precioussssss.

no, i have said many times my position on the matter but that was 2012-2013. nice try; you tried to make it seem as if i was disregarding the actions they did take. So in 2012(i was really upset),2013(things were looking up), and 2014('i'm very excited about the upcoming features). The last public test impressed me.

There is no way PGI is going to tell us how many of these gold packages they have sold without losing face.

PGI... I dare you
I double dare you
I triple dare you
I quadruple dare you..... and so on and so on.

Except the minor part where they didn't say how many they sold in the first place. And there isn't anywhere to show you how many of those 50 are left now... so unless they suddenly announce that the gold mechs you get are numbered you have no idea just how limited or not they are.

Ya know, if they WERE individually numbered, that'd ALMOST be enough of a reason to get one.

That would be about one week worth of work for me, to buy one. I still don't get the prize tag. Want it for dedicated fans to show off? That's cool! Hand them for free to anybody who bought the highest tier of founders AND phoenix AND Clans. That would be a NaiCE way to give something back to the guys who supported you all the Way.  Or, are those for "hardcore elite" Clan fans only? That's cool too! Host an in game tournament, for people which did preorder a clan pack only, give the winners a gold mech of their choice. Or, lets get TOTALY nuts! You know, those contributors to the community? Those people which write awesome guides, or do entertaining streams? Or those players, which are always friendly, always helpfull? Give those things to them? Yeah, for free, to motivate people to put more work into community building? But nooooooooooo you rather ask an amount, for which you could do a LOT more good in the world, for example, we could buy plane tickets, fly over, and slap some sense in you guys... And I bet, we would even have, each, left enough money, to have a beer together. No, I'm not really sorry about the tone, because we all know, there would have been a million better ways to hand those things out, beside putting an oversized price tag on them. And no, if I see someone using one, I won't tk him, that's childish, I simply don't care. If you feel the need to pay that much, upfront, for something which is not even close to be released, its your thing, I just hope, you get your moneys worth out of it.

UI 2.0 test.

How they said it would be: "Here is the new UI. Try it out. Tell us what you think. Tell us what we should change."

How it really turned out: "This is the new UI. Get used to it because this is what we will have you use. LIKE IT OR NOT!"

(It is one thing to put it out on time, and another to do it well.)

Good thing they put in 3PV so whatever shmuck spent 500 bucks on one of these can look at themselves...

So what is it? 50 out of what... 50? lol and 50 doesn't seem very 'limited' to me for a digital product that can be copied over and over again... unless these things are plated in bitcoins... Let's be real here PGI, you guys will keep selling these up till an end date and that date will get pushed back once or twice. So long as there is one more person willing to throw 500 bucks your way you'll gladly take his money and the only thing that makes these things "limited" is that only a limited amount of people are willing to pay this much for paint. You can always charge a grand a mech, then they'd be REAL limited... only 5 left... out of 5. Grab deal.

I mean who's going to count how many you really sell, who would know if you sold 50 or 500? What will someone keep a record of people in game who are seen in a StarKhan Overgold mech? Doubt it...

You know how you can monetize this game?

wait for it... wait for it...

Make is so to run a group for community warfare they have to have a gold mech...

Cause, you know, only the most "loyal" of Kerenskys followers would have one.. at least that's what the original add said before Mack1 made a youtube video blasting you guys for it.. cause you know being a legendary overlord well that's not loyal at all...

And yes I realize this is a status symbol that people buy sports cars and rolex watches for the same reason but before you golds defend this with that tired line keep this in mind. You can sell that BMW or Rolex watch and get a good chunk of money back. It's a tangible asset you can touch, feel, go pick up women with on a friday night...

Try going to a pawn shop and selling your gold mech...

It's lines of code people...

I have no issue with people spending obscene amounts of money on this game. Power to you mad hatters.

I do have issue with a company that thinks so little of their players that they think THIS is what we want.

$500 for CW anyone? Even Uncle Scroogebatrim might consider that one...

Just came in to point something 101011 said.

Why does this madcat have one arm aiming to different directions?, does that mean we will be able to aim each arm? :)

I think I finally got my answer on gold mechs. They appear to be a different variant than the prime. Note the missing CT machine gun, RT machine gun, and LT laser.

Other differences: the gold khan has shoulder racks and its lower legs are rounded rather than flat & pologonal.

If I had $500 to spare. I would buy one. =:)

And having read through all of that mess (which to be fair, is not entirely un-warranted.... at all), I think I'm definitely going to cover any goldie as he tries to make a getaway from the TK'ers. After all, he's just payed for my game to keep going. (I do buy stuff on occasion. Any Hero Mech that goes 50% off is worth it, to me.... well, except the GB. I have no interest in Kintaros.) Still debating a Kitfox pack. I always loved my little Fox. Especially the Gauss variant.
