Can I help you? Are you upset that I haven't wasted as much time trolling forums and am still able to make a point? Beat it. When I see you in battle, i'll destroy you.

The better point that this video illustrates is that energy weapons suck and clans will be roflstomped because they don't have enough ballistics to balance the games. PGI has completely failed at making energy weapons anything but a filler for a hard point after all your ballistics are topped off.

Reading through the earlier posts again, its rather dissapointing that instead of raising counter arguments to my points, people have started resorting to the same "learn2play noob!" strawman arguments. But i guess i shouldnt be surprised.

Also to the people claiming i missed "a lot", these screencaps prove you dead wrong :

Posted Image

Hope i didnt miss any or added a duplicate. I only missed once because the torso laser was too high to hit the jager. Now that has been debunked, please stop all claims that i was missing the majority of my shots, thanks.

Those screenshots don't prove much if your lasers are moving all over the place for the rest of those ~200 frames. For example, exactly at 0:54 the lasers move completely off the jager and hit the terrain for about half the burn duration, and that's not including at least 1 other miss and all the damage spreading as mentioned throughout the thread.

Quote

And duh, the damage is going to spread, its not an instant projectile. The jenner video earlier? He stood still, fired on largely stationery targets and nobody was shooting him, so he was able to do pinpoint. I didnt have that luxury. Any elevation change is going to make the damage spread (and i was reversing downslope). Any turns will make the damagae spread due to weapons in two different locations, and my cockpit was being obscured by weapons fire because its located in a very large and easy to hit location. Its pretty much unavoidable. If the jager was just standing still, that would have been a different story entirely. And still nobody addresses my point that the damage didnt spread that much because most of the Jager was yellow, so the damage was concentrated to the LT/CT anyway.

The jenner sat still when he could (which was not that often in the video by the way, and he was getting shot at but knew when to leave his spot to avoid more damage) to fire his lasers because that's when you have the most steady shot, and with lasers that's obviously pretty important. He could also afford to do that because he was in a light mech, so if you find you can't utilize your lasers properly in a big, slow mech then...maybe try another weapon system (e.g pulse lasers instead of regular lasers, or PPCs) because lasers don't do much good if they spread all over the place and then hit destroyed components for even less damage than usual.

People did address the damage spreading by the way, it was significant and you denying it is just silly.

Tried arm lock but...the reticle obviously moves a lot slower and there are a lot of times when you need to move the arm crosshair, but not the torso one. Would be better if the arm lock worked so that once you reached the maximum twist/pitch angle, the arm lock would be turned off temporarily so you could shoot with arm mounted weapons.

I usually run with arm lock on by default but I do turn it off by holding the shift key when I need to, not too hard for me personally although I'm probably not the most shining example of utilizing arm lock either.

More hit registration issues : http://i.imgur.com/erKCmKk.jpg

I particularly like the part where i shoot thin air and it damages his CT, and when i shoot a shut down mech from the front and his rear armor takes damage.

I think its pretty solid proof that HSR doesnt work.

The mid air shot is awesome! I have seen that apparent hit reg myself, but IIRC there is a DEV explaination... I just don't remember it!

D config is indeed nice to have as SSRM boat. I personally would prefer config S over D, due to how hardpoints work in MWO.

That wasn't even a negative point against you...more about the thread itself but now I'll make sure I grind you to dust when I see you.

With LRMs even, so you cry moar.

Interesting that I'm the troll but you're the one with the mod edited posts in this thread...

There still are random hit reg issues in the game. I'm not even talking about lights. This week I had a game where two PPC shots went missing on an enemy Victor. The first was while he was moving at about 100m, the second while he was shut down and standing still.

I have to say such issues don't happen often to me, but I do notice an obvious example about once every 10 or so games.

I suppose I read it wrong. But yes, i'll see you in the field. As a smoking hulk on the side of whatever hill you're hiding behind...

And I was simply calling it like everyone else saw it. Frankly, I believe he's violating rules as much as anyone, he has by far the least to offer the thread and is just making up whatever he feels to back up whatever lies he's told.

I must commend you good sir, 4 posts and you see the truth of JunTroll! And I am not sarcastic here, I am truly praising you (as I am sure the other poster was as well).

If I see you on the filed I will salute you. If you are on red team, I will try and kill you. If you are on blue team, I will try and aid you, but in the end I will respect you!

SALUTE!

No need for hills...I want you to see who delivered those LRMs. Look for a black and red mech 400m away from you...

We won? I coulda swore that was the match on Canyon where we got overrun.

In regards to this thread...I can't imagine that we're all seeing something else that he isn't from the same video. I can understand new players not knowing how the game mechanics work but he's been around a LONG time now.

Then again, he refuses to group up so he's probably just teaching himself how to pilot a mech.
