This founders stuff is an obvious money grab.

If buying a founders package doesn't appeal to you, simply don't buy one!

I'm not going to lecture or pick apart your original post, others have beaten me to the punch. I hope you find enjoyment with MWO as I'm sure I, as well as tens of thousands of others will.
If you don't find enjoyment and are left astray, fill out the form on page 1 submitted by snowdragon!

Regarding Metacritic: It became popular for gaming jornalists and even developtment teams to use it as it means everthing. You see publishers basing bonuses on it, you see investors caring about it and so on and so fort...When gaming jornalists is just another cog on the hype engine. I could list you here to all eternity great games that have average meta critic of 5 to 3.
Now a valid concern would be to look back at mechwarrior 5. However, I'm sure the people who purchased this where the ones who actually looked the gameplay for MWO and decided it was worth the investment. I know it did look much smoother and interesting than Mechwarrior 5 and the mech redesigns, purist be damned, look BETTER than the classic ones! Mostly because they are updates, not overhauls.

Don't judge or cry when someone spends what you can't/won't.

Like every other game company on earth we decided to make a game to try and make some money. The Founders program serves many purposes but one is to recoup some investment and allow us to expand both the game and into other regions at an accelerated pace. If you dont like the packs we respect your ability to choose not to by one.

I do like the mechwarrior games. Then it comes to the point "will I support or not?" Don't forget the game itself is Free to play for everone.
I hardly buy the expensive games nowadays. Mechwarrior is a game that stands so differently then all those billion shooter games.
Mech games are not plenty...Usually they bring these games out on consoles. (Shame on you!!!! PC is still good...you think they don't copy games on console????)
I just looked, Do I have the money, am I willing to support what I like: yes......

Attempting to be successful, at our expense? What if this IS successful, and then you have nothing but MechWarriors giving you money for awesome content. Pretty soon no one goes to work, no one has any money, the economy collapses. WoW comes out, economy collapses. .. I don't think you're considering the future!

Its actually a Dune reference, but thanks I guess.
Your still comparing apples to oranges. SWTOR Required you to purchase the game in order to play the game period. There was a mandatory investment there in order to try the game, if you were not lucky to get into one of the beta slots. Here you are not required to invest at all in order to try the game. You simply have to wait till open beta, or hope previously you got a closed beta key.
That is the huge difference right there between the games. And the same reason you can't compare them like you are attempting to do.
And you're disappointed in the marketing...ok? I'm not really sure what your issue is there, or why you're upset about it so I can't even begin to address that from my own view point. All I can say is I haven't seen any issues myself.
And once again you're certainly welcome to your opinion on things.
Well I can tell you this, since I am no longer under NDA with SW:TOR... I was into Beta for SW:TOR, yes. I did find my share of Bugs, yes. Each time I reported a bug, I was being told that everything was woring as intended, /joy... Even when I had a GM teleporting to me to fix the "its working like intended" not-bug thing, /lotsajoy... Game went on "working as intended" and lots of Gamers got Screwed over beacause of all the "Hype" surrounding the Game we all were waiting for. I myself bought the CE, and the whole Boxed Set went into the Container a while ago.
So anyway, thats concerning SW:TOR. Now, what I am comparing is, the Hype surrounding SW:TOR AND the Hype surrounding MW:O. I am comparing the Hype, and the usual disappointment created by a product not meeting the Expectations pumped up by said Hype. I guess one needs to go thrue it to understand it, nyway...
And yes, ive got loads of Money to support the Games I like / Believe in, but right now I am still disapointed. Only time will tell if I have reasons to to be concerned about this.
Nyway, roommate needs my help with his Laptop, be back later I guess.
P.S.: If both said Apple and Orange end up in same Mouth, like mine for instance, its still all the same to me.

I'm disappointed mostly because world of tanks is basically just a long grind and the mmo aspect of it is almost non-existent. And that grind system is pretty much tied to the business side. People are "encouraged" by the system to spend money to shorten the grind.
Tbh I was expecting mwo devs to create something of their own instead of making it world of mechs.
Hopefully there won't be random dice roll damage model accompanied with bad matchmaker. Still hopeful it can be fun to play but with these prices I'm not going to spend a dime on this.
