Hehe Golf Clap.. nice. I do have experience in 12mans, both before and after the patch. But even you can't answer our simple question. There is NO VALID REASON to pit small groups against one large group.
Not really when you could have ended this conversation WELL before now. Remember when Niko was asking for information? Why even bother talking about it, if "nothing is going to be done" in your eyes.

but in essence every doable combination will put you sooner or later in that spot
As long as it dont happen on a regulare basis -> who cares
I play often with 2 or 3 rather novice friends, in the solo queue we dont do very well, you think we perform better in the group queue?
Even to say, when I pug I notice a lower level of coordinance on both sides -> i like it, because it means I can make more diff to the outcoming.
Isnt it in the nature of an online game being stomp occasionally by better / better organised players? as long as it doesnt happen regulary I take it as a sporty challange

I agree and I don't mind being stomped every now and then because it makes the victories all that sweeter. BUT WHEN I DROP IN A SMALL GROUP WE LOSE WAY TOO MUCH. When I'm in a large 8+ group I win 95% of the time (no exaggeration).. when I play in small 2-4 size groups, I win 35% of the time. The only explanation I can think of is we are being pitted against LARGE groups TOO often. So yes Martin, it IS happening regulary.. MORE than regularly even.
I invite any regular large-group dropper to try dropping in a 3man 10 times in a row.. and see if the game is playable.. see if you don't slam your mouse through your desk.

My suggestion is to play in larger group of 7 or more that way your not at the mercy of half the team not on teamspeak. Yes it sucks for smaller groups not on teamspeak. In my experience, the smaller groups never listen to direction anyway and pull a Leroy Jenkins. The larger the group the more likely your able to control the dynamics of the fight, minimize the chance of losing, raging on a forum later blaming something that has nothing to do with the matchmaker system.
The new matchmaker has given MWO a new lease on life. MWO is heaps of fun today more than it has ever been in the past.

Then everything was as it should be ... If you play in a group of size 2-4 you are searching for matches in the solo-player- AND the group-ques. If you land in a group-match your whole team will be made up of groups, the other team might be too, or it might be a whole 12-man.
If you play in a group of 5 or more you only get games from the group-que.
Yeah good point but this is bullshit, horrible solution, epic fail...Waiting time has be been reduced but they totally f.u.c.k.e.d up fairplay and balance which are top priorities, what a shame!

Thank you for supporting my side. You won mostly because you were in a large group playing against smaller groups. That's the argument this whole thread is BASED ON.
I win all my matches in 8+ groups as well. After a while the victories start to feel shallow and MEANINGLESS.
Small groups 6 and under should be pitted against same size groups. 6+ size groups should verse other 6+ size groups.
DONE

Yes.. it ISN'T fair! If you are in a large team, you will easily stomp most of the time, if you are small grouping it, you will be stomped/lose MOST of the time. How is that fair?

The question is if it is fair or not and you said it. I do not like this new dynamic group queue and i am sure that i am not alone.

First thing, how often do you REALLY face 12 mans or even 10 mans? I don't care what you THINK you see, I care about what is REALLY happening, which btw, is why Niko asked you for more detailed information, facts matter, not your opinion based on thing but your obviously hurt feelings.
1 quick tell that you aren't facing a 12 man, you have more than 3 of any chassis size or less than 3 of any chassis size on your team. 12 mans can not launch without having 4x3, so the moment you see 4 Assaults or only 2 Lights, guess what, not a 12 man you are facing, not a chance in hell.
As for winning or losing and teamwork, hey, guess what, we did teamwork for years in other games online without voicecomms, INCLUDING the old MW titles and the first Battlefield titles, just text chat in game.

2man groups should drop in pug queue.. at the very least! Who can disagree?
This is a SICK joke!
Keep in mind, that 12 man has to play by the 4x3 rules...6 separate 2 man groups could end up being 12 Dire Wolves...

Why do I have to give them facts? I'm giving PGI my 'customer' experience (which should be invaluable to them), so are so many others in this thread, they can do some work 'o their own and look at the server stats or something.
Playing in small groups has become a JOKE!

I think the problem is that it IS happening regularly. At least 50% of the time tonight. And it's tiresome and NOT FUN.

Not everyone wants to play in big groups. Let's not forget that for most of the last couple of years it was 2-4 or 12 with nothing in between - the trouble 12 mans had getting games makes it clear that far more people were in groups of 2-4. This change has been good for one section of players only - those who play [or want to play] in large groups and pure Solo which I'll admit is better with the MM changes. I'm a normal person who plays regularly (3.5K matches) with just 1 or 2 friends (on mumble) for FUN. Half the time we don't even stick together - just chat and make our own errors and win some, lose some. But right now it's MINUS-FUN for all three of us and for the first time we're wondering what other games we should try.....
