Ask the Marines what happened when second generation warfare ran into fourth generation warfare in Iraq and Afghanistan. I got to see my share and what the group guys forget is Pug matches train guerrillas better than full on command and control. The best from pug que would be valuable assets to any team. Its not better or worse just different gameplay based more on instinct and intuition while pugging. What is lacking is the tools to improvise on the fly and it would be cool to get them. No matter what whichever que your in just fight like you own it and have fun.

Just posted mine. Wasn't a team that ended my military career but instead a pug.

nah dude. What happens when good players drop in the PUG queue is they are the carry players. There really aren't many if any solo only players that are as good.

And in my solo group experiences, and you can ask Almighty Cico, he was in one with me recently. I'm typing out commands, calling targets and telling people when to move/push. And they are listening.

I'm sorry you have a hard time with that.

Your group queue experiences are exactly right though, it's nothing special. But it's a GROUP queue. Where GROUPS can play.

You had cico. Point made>He was your carry player.

That would be great if kept at 1-2 solo players on each team.

Honestly as someone who frequently plays 2 player groups and constantly thrown into group play... It ******* sucks. I'd be EVEN MORE PISSED if they threw me as a solo player over there. The team with the most 2 player groups is the one that frequently loses against the larger groups.

Imagine being a solo player in that?

Most groups I've been in so far, tend to do drops fairly quickly.

And they tend to say "We'll do 4 or 5 drops in a row, then take a break". To limit fiddling and such.

And I asked what YOUR excuse was. Not some random example.

That was an example of one of my reasons. Another one for me is that everyone uses TeamSpeak around here, and I hate TeamSpeak with a fiery passion. Admittedly this is a personal frustration, but it isn't me being lazy. Then there are the times when I prefer to have a more leisurely night and would prefer to watch how the matches end, and instead of being hounded to drop the match so we can move onto the next I just play alone so as not to be a burden to the other players who are wanting to get on with it. The point is there are reasons one might not enjoy dropping in groups all the time just to play in a format that they prefer regardless of your opinion of it being a valid reason or not.

Your focus is too narrow and ego too wide. There are outstanding solos out there. That they don't share your affinity to group play puts them below your radar.

The 'excellent solos' aren't really solo players, but highly experienced group players, who are simply there to swiftly grind out XP on the mech of the month.

Sure it was. It's a logical reasoned one. Though if you are saying it's cohesively worse level of play now... we can agree.

You didn't play in CB? Sure it was only 8 mans but the results sound basically the same.

I agree with Terciel, but I completely understand Agro's disappointment. Playing casually with a bunch of casual solo players should still exist IMO. All of the uber competitive players drop in group queue and it might not satisfy the casual gameplay that Argo and hubby enjoy.

Thing is this WILL NOT stop the I got ROFLSTOP crowd from crying. They will insist they need a training wheel Que so they don't have to play against better players or teams. It's sad really. :P

I played in CB and I enjoyed every minute of it. I was very sad for the group players that lost their ability to drop together when they tried to do the solo players a favor. I think how they went about it was one of the biggest mistakes they made with the game.

I did play solo in CB. I supported keeping 8 man teams while I was Solo. It gave me the feel of dropping and finding out... The Black Widow Company is HERE??? Oh Shat! Then watch as real teamwork roles over my Green Militia PUGs. I for one do not hate being rolled by a good team if WE are not. It is how fighting is meant to go.

Listen, and understand. That whining is out there. It can't be bargained with. It can't be reasoned with. It doesn't feel pity, or remorse, or fear. And it absolutely will not stop, ever.

Well if the MM ever gets fixed properly and the way that the ELO is calculated is actually based on player performance and not from some other method that is based on the group, we may actually see better matches across the solo and group queues.

They still have a long way to go to get it right, but there seems to be very little feedback on this subject .

Then you welcome all these changes like I do. Though I do feel a little empathy for the smaller groups as I know some days can be rougher then others.

Honestly, aside from all your rambling, the jist of your post is:

"I enjoyed stomping solos in my groups, and now that my smaller groups are getting stomped by bigger groups I want things back the way they were".

Actually my win/loss ratio is about 55-60%. My personal performance keeps me seeing people who won the last tournaments. I dont care if I lose if I can get a good showing from myself.

But you believe what you want. I can see nothing's going to change your mind. And after a few more matches today the solo queue is silent as the grave while the group queue is filled with Chatty Cathys. Other than a single "Hi" posted by someone... I was the only one giving tactical information let alone saying anything. Still lost 60% of the matches and was the last or second to last left alive.

Yeah but I like to actually read some of the posts. That thread has 5 pages on it and as far as I can tell only 1 person really agreed with the OP. Physician heal thyself.

I didn't say you had a bad experience in the solo queue. That was directed at Kjudoon.

Please follow along with the conversation.

As for enjoying groups, THEN GO TO THE GROUP QUEUE. HUZZAH YOU HAVE A WHOLE QUEUE FOR YOU.

No, the Group queue is broken. Only the Solo Queue and its strange invisible texts I never see of increased communication is right.
