Seriously, did anyone bought the Phoenix package because of the LP medals?
Not because of them but I would not have bought the package without them.
Let me explain.
At the time when the Phoenix package was advertized I was not sure if I should buy it. It offered opportunities that I liked, like an easy way to get lots of mechbays and the Shadowhawk looked promising. On the other hand I intended to not give PGI more money until CW was implemented.
The final straw that made me purchase it was indeed the Loyalty Points. To me, they suggested that CW was imminent at that time, which at that time was not impossible. I couldn't imagine that they would balantly advertize a feature that they knew they couldn't possibly deliver. So I bought it.
That CW didn't materialize disappointed me and means that I wouldn't have purchased the Phoenix Package.
But at least I wouldn't have been too disappointed, if only the LPs were accumulated, even if they were not yet used. It would have enabled me to skill my phoenix mechs and sell some of them later for the mech bays, which were important to me.
To this day I can't do that. They are dead weight.
Because of that I am really angry and feel cheated.
So basically I didn't buy the Phoenix Package because of the LPs, but because of the missing LPs I now feel that I didn't get what I was buying and am feeling cheated.
And also as a consquence I am now really refusing to buy anything that PGI announces. By now I even extend my refusal to buy anything until CW is out to I refuse to buy anything until CW is out and proven to be really, really good.
Until now it works. I barely play anymore (not more than ten games a week) and do not feel the need the need for any more purchases.
