Sorry guys, when do you learn to implement those challanges as TEAM challanges. It is just totally annopying to play in the pug queue and get a mental disorder...

Just finished my 50 wins, man that was painful on Friday, Saturday and today was a lot better.
Seen quite a few suicide and DC farming the challenge, which is a slap in the face of those who are actually participating in trying to get the wins legitimately.

For me Friday was great but short lived (work the night shifts). Saturday was downright unplayable, first time I've ever rage-quit. Up to 6 allies with no signatures, plus enemy teams LOADED with ECM and LRM boats and what few ECM mechs we have aren't helping out with anti-LRM duties. After my 7th teamkill I gave up (2 ECM Kitfoxes, one is an enemy, one is an ally, both look identical... Neither of them have signatures and they are too far away to pick up the one as a low signal.)

Today, I forgot I launched and the team literally steam-rolled the enemy. So it seems playable again. :D ELO wants me to win today.

Fiftieth win. That wasn't easy. Time to strike a balance.

Although I had two terrible losing streaks, I needed exactly hundred matches for this challenge:
fifty wins and fifty losses.

Certainly I could be dissapointed because there is no skill needed for a win/loss ratio of 1. I have posted my opinion before; I think skill should reflect in the win/loss ratio.

But after reading about all this bad luck during the challenge, I feel lucky at least.

...and after activating the premium time, even losses feel like victories when I checked my amount of money. :D

Well...
I've got 10 wins so far in about 17 games...and normally being a pugger the experience have been a bit more fun than regular play with more focused teams and actually more non stomp games than normal!
I haven't seen these disconnects but I do think there been more issues with lag and I also got stuck in "ghost town"
I really hope the new servers will solve these problems???

Anyway... Happy with the challenge (20 wins will be enough for me) thanks PGI

YEEEEHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA! I AM RICH! :D

I think this challenge was pretty enjoyable, but also pretty tough at times, especially yesterday, when I had a epic losing-streak. I cried a little. But the effort was worth it. Some people might be upset by base-capping, but who cares?

EDIT:
Just a FYI, Premium Time should NOT activate automatically. Tomorrow I'm away for vacation, when I'm back, premium is gone.

My only beef is that I can only wonder what the hell they're going to do for Labour Day Weekend next week if /this/ weekend was this horribly grindy.

On the other hand, like the man says, it was free. And now I have 20 million C-bills, where Friday I had less than a million. You play a hundred matches, you make bank.

I have seen better team play overall dropping as a pug this weekend, so while a lot of people are complaining about certain things, they seem to be the ones that complain about the way the other tournaments have affected gameplay, too. You just can't please them, and what few ideas they have to improve things are either really bad or wouldn't improve anything. There are only so many ways you can hold a challenge in this kind of game, and I prefer the team wins over individual kills so this challenge is right down my alley. I've got 21 wins so far, but I've only played for a couple hours yesterday and a few hours today.

This challenge highlights every problem I have with MWO. I enjoyed the challenge for the first hour and a half, then since then it has just been a huge chore. The horrid connection/desync issues that plague the game randomly, the hostile players in PUG matches and people that just suicide into the enemy team from the start, weapon balance issues, and just bad luck with the teams I get dropped with have seriously curbed my liking of this game. It is really a shame, because three days ago I was willing to overlook all the horrid bandaid fixes for weapon balancing, chronic server instability, and slow game progression but now I am having to play the game without a team to complete this challenge, and I find it lacking. The sad thing is that I really want to enjoy playing MWO, and really want this game to succeed. My suggestion is to NEVER EVER do another one of these solo drop challenges.

Great rewards and challenge. I wish it was any other weekend, as I had absolutely no time to play this one. Hope for the opportunity again in the future.

Somehow I think that was PGI's intention.

I'd be very sad if this was not, actually, as they would be missing a HUGE opportunity to find out what the real problems are instead of doing random bazooka-shotgun nerfing strategies on weapons that are only in need of slight nerfs...except baookza blast, boom, super nerf... and the shotgun aspect of the approach has made a bunch of other things worthless in addition.

It's not free if you have to work for it.

At this very moment I would pay for average day without any challenge. Game is in deep meta and lrm coma right now, as it was many times mentioned before - this is no way fun for me.

I'm grateful for a free mechbay, but 10 wins is the end of the challenge. I play games to have fun, not for being tortured.

I really, really hope this kind of challenge doesn't happen again. I usually get 2-3 well-known high ELO players or lances equally on both teams when I solodrop but now... I saw them in the beginning of the challenge but after like one hour most of them just disappeared and it was all horrible matches with horrible teams with suiciders everywhere probably grinding for victories while watching a movie. Some of them even wrote in the chat that they "are going to suicide please do not follow".

Have the next challenge be a combination of victories AND points. There is no way to suicide points and kill stealing will prevent victories.

For a 50 win prize... that seems rather disappointing IMO (especially when premium time activates after the 20th win).

If the prize was a Vindicator (just a C-bill variant, with an additional mechbay of course), then the prize matches the effort committed to the process.

6.5m C-bills is somewhat of a "disappointing bonus" to some degree.

I'm pretty sure you will be able to buy a Vindicator with 6.5m... :D
