Those that have admitted to it, have pretty much all said it's not worth it. And, the fact that most people deny it's a problem... logically means its not a problem. Unless, of course, you feel that the rest of the community is somehow all involved with this.

Be reasonable.

Nobody is saying it isn't happening. But you seem to be basing your worries off of this one event, which you haven't actually proven yet, and just because it happened once, doesn't mean it's a giant cheating spree.

EDIT: Also, PGI can't really track it. There's far too many players and too little of them to sift through thousands of connections to try and make links. And just because they ban it, doesn't mean it's not going to happen. They can't restrict it, nor can they enforce it.

If "fair play" by "your definition" is "players that are inferior to you", then expect nothing to happen. That's exactly what it sounds like here.

Here's my take on Sync dropping in PUGs

I don't care If players are. Because As a player I should never be sure that my enemy is X, Y or Z. I like that my combat game is not predictable!

The reason many people are replying is because it isn't an issue. PGI doesn't need to be focusing on nonexistent issues made up by players, and by actively pressing an issue like this, all that does in the end is waste PGI's time.

It's funny how you talk about honor and fair play, yet you falsely accuse any good players who beat you as sync droppers.

I actually have seen folks doing this, and it is pretty pathetic on their part.

Folks who need to sync drop in the solo queue instead of playing in the big boys queue are bads.

Using Aim bots is cheating. Players working together IS NOT.

Firstly you contend that I haven't proven it so who has? Is that bias or something else? And secondly in talking to those who actually program games I sail with I was told its a very simple thing to write and compile. Chances are they already are. So If I take into account how many self professed experts over the years here were proven horribly wrong nothing posted so far either proves or disproves anything. Pick any subject here and see how many are sure its just as they said except the answers are all different.

I posted to pgi here on their request. Only experts here I will listen to and that comes from experience.

Its only the forum clique who have had their say. the vast majority in game neither read this forum or post to it.

See thats just it. I don't like there being separate Ques at all. I think it's just coddling those who can't handle losing maturely. Do remember Roland, I have been saying this since day one of my getting into Closed Beta. It's not a bad thing to sometimes face opponents that are just plain better than us. I do it all the time both Solo and in the group Que.

We all do. the point was that Solo players are at a disadvantage against grouped players. Key coordination . Due to the challenge I can see exactly why, I also know that people have been syncing as their is no way solo players could have been so well coordinated. Everyone in solo que plays as if their mech is the only one that matters excluding players like myself who regularly play in groups so the emphasis is on teamwork. Not to so that can not happen in solo games but it is less frequent. To repeat, Synced players have an advantage and I saw and see that repeatedly in my games when I go against them. Tactics beats everything else, even firepower.

You are being ridiculous.
If you play in a group, then you play in the group queue.

If you can't hack it in the big boys queue, and need to try and prey upon solo pugs, it means you are terrible and should be ashamed.

Joe, this isn't a war. It's a game. For the same reason you don't have College football teams playing against High School leagues. That's not 'coddling' anyone. You separate people by skill because otherwise the better folks don't improve because all they do is club seals and the less skilled people don't improve because they never get a chance to scale the curve.

Games have leagues and rules for a reason. We have queues and Elo matchmaking for the same reason sports have leagues. It serves the exact same purpose. That's not coddling anyone, it's making a game a game.

5 Million players are playing Clash of Clans. I am in the Silver I league, and 35th level. I am pitted against players in my league that are double my level, I have also been raided by players in gold III (lowest level of the tier above me). Games and leagues and still The level of parity is not what folks here are asking for and we don't even have a full game.

Sorry but I just don't see it as a requirement in this game if it isn't in a game with 5 Million players!

It's better than random by a long, long shot. Disparity is less than 100 team to team and even high/low it's only a couple hundred points most the time.

Also there is a world of difference between dropping in teams vs pugs and having pugs in the same match with different Elo.

Especially with sync-dropping. Being in a team chat is an advantage that isn't open to others and is supposed to not exist in Pug queue.

This would be akin to someone taking a tricked and tweaked mech to SMM contests; I mean they're just using the mechanics that exist, right? Except that it's against the rules and it's an advantage.

nope, show me anywhere in the rules where sync dropping is forbidden (hell i'd settle for a "we don't want you to do it" from PGI)

All I am saying is that I don't care the size group, level of player skill, et al...It's more variety in play for me.

It's not. People should be smart enough to sync. I had to stop playing the Solo and go to group to repair my damage almost 12 hour stats from horrible games. Almost dropped to 1.0 Win/loss ration. 1 game in a group and I smash the enemy team with my group.
