BUT
I hate to see, how much missed potential this game drags on. Aside from being 2 years behind so the gametime had to be reveresed, i hate that there could be done so much more:
Much more Maps suited for planetary conquest (together with a wider range of modes, diffferent set ups like 4v4, 8v8 or even uneven modes like 4 Dabe defenders vs. 6 Attackers etc.)
REAL Role Warfare
A complete revamp of the Module-System to acompany the Role Warfare
But all of this seems so far away. The way things have been handled in the past, when CW hits, what we will get is the same maps, the same modes with the difference, that you gain also some points of control over a planet. So not really what was proposed in the design docs a long long time ago (which were a really excitíng read at that time and are now sad reminders of what could have been).

So much blind hate, people can't see that PGI is improving. Is it perfect? Hell no. Should we forget about the mistakes of the past? Absolutely not. But for pete's sake people, there's no need for that sort of bile and vitriol. We've gone from 1 step forward 1 step back to 2 steps forward 1 1/2 steps back, and ignoring that improvement, however small, helps no one.

I really didn't like this one.
Why don’t you just finish MWO first?
Community Warfare is the last remaining main feature of the original vision to be delivered. As to CW you have recently seen Unit creation and we are now just a few short months away from delivering this final item. Having said that MWO is never finished. We plan to add content until a) the license expires, players no longer want to support development of new features and content beyond CW.

Ok, back to other things for the next few months. I can't wait until next time when a wave of nostalgia hits me - wonder what I'll come across

Its so bad I will be shooting a mech with full weapons and no damage and next thing I know my mech is stripped and dead in between moon walking. It was happening only a few times every 10 battles or so now its every battle on every map.
I cant tell you how many are not playing because of this issue but I would say it would be priority #1 to PGI staff to get it fixed as fast as possible.
P.S check with your ISP maybe you don't have efficient band width now or your ISP has terrible routing problems .

You live and die by your work, and for whatever the reasons are/were, MW:O today is NOT what we were 'promised' it really feels as if it's being dropped because something better is in the works and you'd rather work on that instead of finishing this project.
Russ said '3 years is a long time for us to work on one project' then why renew the license? Why bother making a game you know is going to take this long? If you can't stick it out for 3 years on a known IP with a solid userbase (and we've seen the money it generated along the way), how can we expect you to stick it out on an unknown IP, when you won't get even half the revenue?
People love to bad mouth publishers, but they exist for a reason, it seems PGI follows whatever trends are supposedly hot in gaming, first they adopted the WoT financial model (after it was really already on the decline, plus you don't have the russian playerbase supporting you), now they're going to try to follow the StarCitizen model of not having a publisher.
You don't have the street cred to pull this off, without completing MW:O and making it a good example of what you can do, IMO (which, with $4 will buy you exactly one cup of coffee).
Hopefully I'm wrong, you guys finish MW:O, it's great and your new IP goes over swimmingly because of it (I always enjoy watching people succeed at what they love to do).
But I'm just not seeing it, no matter how many different angles I try to look at this with...
Good luck.

one comment i have to make is even if CW comes out full feature there is a lot still missing from MWO. I just hope that PGI wont say "ok we realeased CW lets forget the long list of things we still have to add and focus on P2". Yes i know they said they will continue developing MWO but they have said a lot things in the past.......that they didnt do in the end

1. They do not own the Mechwarrior IP they are leasing it.
2. Thus, they are going to use funds from MWO to support the building of their own IP separate from Microsoft.
3. They have MWO IP for 6 more years about they time to develop and launch AAA game. And if Microsoft pulls MWO from them they now have their own IP to generate funds and continue business.

They never said that. PGI just paid IGP their publisher dues. What IGP did with that income is their business, just like PGI doesn't dictate how their tax dollars are spent, or how the electric company uses the money they bill.

I wouldn't.
I mean, do what you guys want, most of your founders for MWO have quit and likely won't give you another red cent. Which would not be the case if we would have received the game we paid for

I agree with you 100% Kraven Kor... PGI will never have a single dime from me.. They demolished the Mech Warrior franchise with this game... We should all go for a brain erasing and reprogramming from the horrors this game has brought to us.. From dedicated first person simulation game to third person World of Mechs arcade game...
This only proves that they really don't know how to program a game... No quality programmers, no quality visions...nothing
60$ burnt for nothing...might as well give it away to some charity (must remember this for future reference)

Kelly Zmak (the former President of IGP) is running a consultancy based in California now and it seems at least some of the other directors are in new roles in other companies too and listing their IGP roles as 'previous' employment...
Can we get a heads up on IGP status please?

I've funded some $400 or so into this game.
Though I think your post is a bit more... hyperbolic than needs be. There are even good things about this game. It just isn't the game we funded. So I warn anyone funding the new game to be wary of promises that will never be fulfilled.
