I don't have much against existing Founders being allowed to upgrade. I can't possibly be convinced that there is any upside to allowing founder packs sold again to new players. It runs counter to what Founder means. You missed it, you lost it.
Phoenix mechs... *shrugs* I don't feel particularly invested in most of them. However, I feel that part of the price we paid for it is the unique geometry. And with that said...
... Come on, are you even trying, OP? Or are you trying to piss people off? Because if that's your goal, you just succeeded.

NOPE. NOPE NOPE NOPE. Forget it.
Founder mechs are for Founders. We were key to this game, we paid good money and put our faith in PGI to deliver their vision. We damn well deserve to have our special mechs stay special. I want my, and every other Founder's, mech to be instantly recognizable for what it is at a glance, not by looking at the variant.
Doing that would be the ultimate insult to every Founder.
I also believe selling the Phoenix mechs with unique geometry again would be a mistake, but I'm nowhere near in terms of caring about it.
Seriously, I don't see the point of the Old Guard part at all. Bah. Drop that part entirely.
