Its the Meta-core that comes out for 10 million free cbills.

If you werent running a top Meta build over the weekend, you got crushed. If your team wasnt running them, you got crushed.

I just disconnected everytime I saw my team with 2 trial mechs. Theres no point. Its a roll. Ill grab something else and get to another match faster.

It got to the point I was asking our Direwolf pilots...whats your build? If they didnt both answer back dual gauss + ppc I disconnected.

If there were Awesomes and another Banshee...I disconnected.

If there wasnt a Timberwolf. I disconnected.

And thats how I got my 6.5 million. =D You had to just keep rolling matches till you found yourself on the winning meta team. Look for the people answering "yes" when the narcers and taggers are asking if anyone has lrms. If you see two people say yes...and you have two direwolves, and a timber wolf. Youre going to win. Play that match.

Wonder how many times you got reported. Thankfully I only witnessed this type of behavior in one match on Monday.

i got up to #44 for clan heavy but then i gave up because my premium time ran out

I got 30 in my Banshee. Mounted with Pulse Lasers. And a 400XL.

37 using exclusively Banshees.



Not to mention, that isn't the best DireWhale build anymore. Laserspam+dual gauss wins. But from the tone of your comment, it might be better that you did disconnect, makes it easier to get those scores.

Probably tons. I was reporting people for the same behavior left and right too.

Comes with the tournament 'weak'ends.....it encourages the worst possible behavior. But 10 million cbills is basically a month of grinding for some people.

Im not that moral. I just cant be. My time is simply too precious to pass up a chance at 10 million cbills that allows me to have more fun in the game, by not running in and stealing kills, rolling matches, and taking the most inhumane builds possible.

I also run a Wubshee...400, Pulse and AC20. I only got 13 130+ scores...though did make it to the top 20% or so in all the classes I played.

Im certainly not a great player, and its even more pronounced when im up against good players. Ill take an advantage I can get.

Played 10-12 matches.


Over half of them, kept running into multiple LORDS and other such players.

Over half of them saw probable sync drops, of multiple players per side in ame unit tags.

In ALL of them, saw killwhoring, mass FF, lack of teamwork and holding locks to "protect kills" and people pause from pursuing active targets to maximize damage on crippled targets, discos and AFKs. People so concerned with artificially inflating stats they apparently forgot about the "winning" criteria.


Decided that before I added multiple TKs per match over rampant idiocy, was time to go back to group drops so I could play the game my preferred way, focused on winning matches, not stroking solo epeen.

And I cant be expected to waste what little time ive got, sitting through getting rolled because we have an awesome and another bansee, and a bunch of 60 tonners, a locust, and two trial mechs.

Im looking for the roflstomps and I want to be using my Banshees speed to get in and steal kills at the last moment with a nice big fat alpha, so I can get a bunch of assists and kills so I can cut a goddamn month off my grinding.

after running string of games where teammates were falling all over themselves to get into any line of fire possible so they could make sure they got the kill combined with almost non stop air/arty strikes i lost any interest i had in trying.

The chance at extra 10 mil wasn't even worth it for the amount of frustration and headaches id have to deal with.

but i did get some amusement seeing the massive rage from enemy team full of Meta mechs that happened to lose against a team of non meta & trial mechs. Really funny being called a P2W noob because you carried the team and was last one standing vs said Meta Team with multiple same tag people. (not calling sync dropping just going to call it low # of people dropping at that time)

Yeah I cant say I locked a target all weekend unless it was beating me and I wanted the LRM swarm to change the tide. Then of course immediately unlocked it so I could get the kill.


This is why im glad stats arentvisible and hardly matter. Could you imagine playing like this ALL THE TIME?!

God please dont ever make stats visible.

Guess, being that I have never been spacepoor, I just find grinding that way to be less fun than taking the month to do it with people who play well, instead. Of course, I can get a million Cbills every 4-6 matches, so 10 million is a weeks casual play tops for me.

Got too much self respect (and probably way too much pride) to stoop to the dog eat dog mentality.

Thing is, this is regular challenge activity. I don't do it myself, but I TOTALLY understand why people do.. Otherwise, it's just frustrating right?

I have about half that self respect. I can avoid it all the time but these tournaments. I can eat dog for a weekend. I hate myself now...and no shower washes off that stink.

Right I meant lasers, since the PPC nerf...ive just typed Gauss +PPC for so long it rolls off the fingers. Or Dakka or any meta build...it was just an example.
