37 here.... started with BT TT and used to drive from Hillsdale MI all the way to the Battletech Center in Chicago IL, over 3 hours each way 3 hours to give them $8 dollars for only 10 mins. of game play with my father. Crazy right? Then again, my father and I used to drive all over central and eastern United States to go to war gaming conventions. 30+ years of gaming here, video games, historical games, Sci-fi, fantasy you name it we have gamed it. :D

40. Started playing TT out of the box in the mid 80's. It was love. Robotech was on TV and I was piloting big stompy mechs with dice. Good times. :)

I'm 43 and never heard of TT, Battletech, etc. One day I found MWO, I gave it a try and was hooked. I must play it in stereoscopic 3D (or I don't play as it's not the same feeling).

If forum allowed to display your age below

<- here

would you display it? I believe we can ask for this...

27. My first introduction to BT was the cartoon show which I thought was the greatest thing ever, perhaps it was back in the day but now, er, not so much graphics wise and such. Any way, from there I grabbed anything BT/MW I could find.
MW2 was my first comp game ever. When I was younger I hated reading, unless it was a BT book. played some TT when I got older.
To this day I still have my Bushwacker, Summoner, HBK IIC, Infiltrator, and Elemental BT toys. I still make fun of my brother who called the Elemental, robot Toad when he was younger, because Toad was the IS designation for the Elementel, and after we conceded with him to call it robot Toad, he immediately changed his mind and said "No, not wobot Toad, Toad." To this day I bring that up any time I can, especially around his girl friend, she thinks its cute, he is just like "Oh god, why do you have to go there?!"
And I still think they need to do a live action series of at least pre Starleage time frame on HBO.

32 here :)

It started with the JadeFalcon Books about Aidan Something. Played MW2 and read most of the other books... Didn't hear much of this Franchise for more then 15 years, until MWO came out. Hooked since then

Aidan Pryde.

My boy is named for him... he seems to like my Summoner for some reason too... Points at it every time he gets up from his nap when I'm in the mech bay on MWO, and goes "YEAH!" it's hard to deny a 20 month old that just wants to see what Dad is doing...

My skill with it, is not something I should record... It's record is 5 minuets before being killed...

33. Been gaming my whole life, also some semi competitive experience. I like MWO for the variety, customization, but also for the tactics and twitch. No TT Battletech experience, but I did stuff like tabletop Dungeons and Dragons. Also played MW 4.

Someone should compile all the answers and calculate average age!

30

Started with the CCG, moved to MW2: The Clans when I built the family PC for DOS, then started playing TT in Junior High. Played every game since, including the MechAssault stuff...which I mildly regret other than they did a good hard rock soundtrack for those that seemed fitting.

Read all of the boosts released through Junior High and Highschool...right up to the Dark Age stuff.

Then i will have to slowly lower the average. Almost 18 y.o. here..

And aff, BT can still attract a few youngsters (i first met BT with MechWarrior 2 as a child).

Please allow me to introduce myself
I'm a man of wealth and taste
I've been around for a long, long year
Stole many a man's soul to waste

And I was 'round when Jesus Christ
Had his moment of doubt and pain
Made damn sure that Pilate
Washed his hands and sealed his fate
